GENERAL DIRECTIONS:
1. Read carefully and follow the procedure provided.
2. Do the activity on a clean sheet of paper or the prepared ANSWER SHEET provided in
the activity. (could be a bond paper, pad paper or better yet, a graphing paper, any
paper available).
NOTE: Answer sheet can be printed out but the answer should be in
handwritten.
3. Write all answers and necessary solutions and box your final answers.
4. Take a clear picture/s of your output and compile them into ONE (1) PDF, then submit
thru Brightspace.
5. Only ONE (1) file submission is allowed, under file name: 4thQ-PT2.3-Surname1,
Surname2
6. Not following instructions (from the general directions) will have corresponding demerit
of 2 points for each violation even if it is not included in the rubrics provided for the
activity.

INSTRUCTION: This task involves the printed answer sheet for you to gather information that you need to answer
the guide questions. But you can also draw the activity on a separate sheet of paper if printed
answer sheet is not available. Accomplish all the specific steps that follow and refer to the scoring
rubric below in answering the questions.

GUIDE QUESTION:
1. What did you observe on the images formed in a concave mirror? (1 point)
Based on my observations in the table above, the image in a concave mirror becomes virtual and upright as the
object travels towards the mirror inside the focal point. The image position shifts further away from the mirror as the
item approaches it, and the image size increases. However, when the object is at the focal point, the image is at
infinity, which implies no image is generated.
2. What did you observe on the images formed in a convex mirror? (1 point)
On the other hand, the image is vertical and positioned at the focus point on the convex mirror when the object is far
away from the mirror. As the object draws nearer to the mirror, the image becomes closer as well, eventually
matching the object's height. Regardless of the object's location, the size of the image reflected by the convex mirror
is always less than the object's size.
APPLICATION:
A convex mirror is the type of mirror used in a side car mirror. It is, in fact, one of the most common applications of
convex mirrors. It is utilized in cars since it produces an elevated appearance and a broader field of view since it is
bent outwards. This type of mirror is advantageous for cars as it minimizes objects, making them look farther away.
2. Why does word AMBULANCE is laterally inverted in front of an ambulance car? (1 point)
Frequently, ambulances are in a hurry. It is written inverted laterally to indicate to the reader that the vehicle in front
is an ambulance. The purpose of this is that if you are driving ahead of an ambulance, you may notice the ambulance
written laterally to the usual direction in your side mirror. In that way, you may be able to understand that you must
give way to it.
CONCLUSION: (2 points)
Differentiate concave mirror from a convex mirror.
Both are kinds of mirrors, yet they are not the same in many ways. The main distinction between concave and
convex mirrors is that concave mirrors have a cave-like structure owing to their inward curved surface. A convex
mirror, on the other hand, has an outward flared reflecting surface. Concave mirrors provide a variety of images
depending on the distance between the mirror and the object. While the convex mirror is also known as a diverging
mirror due to its ability to spread the rays that settle on its surface after reflection.
VIRTUAL MEETING:
If the group decided not to have a virtual meeting, a screenshot of the conversation from messenger and
other form of communication can be a proof of participation.
