Objectives Students will connect the hands-on activity from the previous lesson with the current
simulation activity.
Students will observe protein molecules in the Traits and Reproduction Simulation.
Students will comprehend how proteins determine traits using the Protein to Trait.
Students will compare silk flexibility traits and protein observations for three different spiders
by doing the activity.
IFL It involves understanding that everything we learn is part of God's creation and purpose. In simple
words, it's about seeing God's hand in all aspects of our education and recognizing that our faith guides
how we learn, think, and interact with the world around us.
Procedures Tuesday:
Review the previous lesson and the Darwin’s bark spider concept, then go through the slides.
Introduce the Protein to Trait Example, tapping on it to open the illustrations. Read aloud and
guide students through the example, explaining how the trait for bristle is determined by
protein connectivity.
Prompt partners to select spiders for comparison, observe silk flexibility traits, and record
observations about protein molecules. Encourage the use of the Protein to Trait Example for
deeper understanding.
