Directions: Listen to the story entitle “The


Tortoise and the Hare” through an audio
clip. After listening to the story, you will
sequence the event through the use of
flowchart as your graphic organizer. After
that, you will going to enumerate the

There once was a superfast hare and a
super-slow tortoise. Initially, the tortoise
challenged the hare to a race because he
was tired of the hare bragging about how
fast he could run. Later that day, the
animals watched as the race began, and the
hare sped off into the forest. The hare
decided to stop and take a nap not far from
the finish line, while the tortoise just kept
moving, step by step. Hours passed when
suddenly the slow tortoise passed by the
sleeping hare. The hare didn’t wake up until
he heard the cheers from the other forest
animals. Finally, the tortoise crossed the
finished line and won the race!” ]
