a Personal Pronoun?

that can replace a noun in a

accordingly. I want you to observe it
carefully.

What are these? Pens!

These are pens. It’s more than one so these


are pens.

What is that? Candy!

That is candy.

What are those in the last? Candies!

So, what are those four? Demonstrative pronouns.

Yes, we call it Demonstrative Pronouns. So,


what is demonstrative pronouns?

Demonstrative pronouns are words used to


point to nouns. They come before the be –
verbs and are. The words this, that, these
and those are demonstrative pronouns.

So, when do we use “this”? This is used to


refer to a thing, person or place that is near
the speaker.

How about “these”? when do we use these?


These is used to refer to two or more things,
persons, or places that are near the speaker.

Next is “that”, that is used to refer to a


thing, person or place that is far from the
speaker.

Last is “those”, those is used to refer to two


or more things, person or places that are far
from the speaker.

So, “this” is singular and “these” is plural


and use to refer tnings that is near. The
word “that” is singular and “those” is plural
and use to refer things that are far.

Is it clear?

Yes Ma’am.
E. Discussing new concepts and Since everything is clear we are going to use
