FIRST 1000 DAYS MODIFIED DIETARY SUPPLEMENTATION AND INFORMATION

EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION-“IDOL KO SI NANAY” ACTIVITY

Venue: Barangay Health Station

Date of Project: January-November 2023
(Every 3rd Monday of the Month)
Participants: Pregnant and Lactating Women
6-59 months old underweight and stunted pre-schooler

Background and Rationale:

Hunger and undernutrition is still prevalent. Supplementary feeding

is an important strategy to address issues such as low birth weight
and stunting among under two (2) years old.

It is a must to provide sufficient and quality supplementary food

among the targeted individuals. The Barangay Local Government Unit
of Bentig together with the members of the Barangay Nutrition
Council is committed to eradicate and end all forms of human
deprivation including hunger and malnutrition by continously feeding
the targeted individual and by providing them with the correct
information about proper nutrition.

Objective:

The over-all purpose of this activity is to provide dietary

supplementation and improve tha status and prevent malnutrition of
pregnant,lactating women and 6-59 month old children of the
barangay.

Methodology:

Three months of continous feeding program , nutrition education and

skills building activity.

Budgetary Requirements:

Procurement of Food Supplies------------------------ Php11,591.26
