RATIONALE:

The number of malnourished children is an indicator of the nutritional status in the municipality.
Thus, to maintain a healthy community, regular monitoring of the different nutrition programs is an
intervention to combat the widespread malnutrition in the vulnerable section of the society.

Barangay Manan-ao has continuously shown improvement in decreasing malnourished children.

Proper Nutrition is crucial for everybody, but it is especially important for children because it is directly
related to their overall growth and development. The right nutrition in the right amount leads to a
healthier life as they grow. Moreover, children will enjoy a better quality of life of appropriate nutrition
habits are ingrained in them, enabling them to take part in more activities with greater delight. The
advantages of good nutrition for children are endless.
