THIRD CONDITIONAL
Once you’ve studied and feel con dent about using the zero, rst and second
conditionals, you’re ready to study the third and last one.
Second Conditional
The di erence between the other conditionals is that there is not a real possibility that
this condition will happen cause the action in the past didn’t happen. Is also like a
dream, but with no possibility of the dream coming true.
For example:
Last week you bought a lottery ticket. But you did not win.
STRUCTURE
This is the way we imagine how things could have been di erent in the past. If
something had been di erent, something else would have happened. Notice that both
the condition and the result are impossible now.
CONDITIONAL USE
ZERO CONDITIONAL Talk about thing that are generally true, laws and rules
FIRST CONDITIONAL Talk about future situations we believe are real or possible
