Eesa has shown many skills that will enable him to use the Arabic language in everyday situations. With
more practice at using the language outside of school and with other students, he has a bright future in
his study of the Arabic language. During this Term, the students have been studying reading, writing,
and speaking conversational Arabic. Students learned vocabulary and expressions relating to places
and school. They investigated school subjects, Jobs, pronouns, verbs, and the formation of short
sentences, within these contexts. Students have also studied the use of word order and sentences in
the formation of a paragraph. They have demonstrated the skills learned in activities such as describing
photos and taking part in dialogues within the classroom that relate to his life.

This year in Art, all students completed an introduction to observational drawing, the formal elements of
Art, zen doodles, colour pencil drawing techniques, monster and Ben Avlis inspired project. Eesa has
worked diligently and met the expected level. He consistently employs colour pencils with high skill
levels to illustrate blending, layering features and textures with superb results. He has broadened his
repertoire of skills and has a controlled use of media and the application of colour and graphite sketch
pencils. Within his Monster drawing, he applies in-depth knowledge and understanding of what he has
learnt throughout the year and has created a good quality outcome. He should be very proud of his
efforts this year.

Easa has studied a range of Design and Computing modules this year, each comprising subject specific
skills such as design and make, as well as being able to develop important soft skills such as problem-
solving and creative thinking. Easa has made good progress this year and has demonstrated a good
understanding of all the areas covered, with a particular strength in animation and practical tasks. He
has demonstrated effective use of a range of tools and equipment in the workshop and is rewarded with
what is a very accomplished passive amplifier. To improve next year, Easa should draw on multiple
sources of information to creatively develop his ideas and showcase his knowledge and understanding
through his annotations.

Eesa has made promising progress in English throughout the year as indicated by his End of Year
result, which shows that he has exceeded the year group's expectations. Eesa also sat the national
benchmark assessment, the Progress Test in English, this term. The PTE performance is considered
alongside each student’s achievement in English throughout the year to give an overall picture of their
ability and development. Eesa has improved his organisational skills throughout the year, and his level
of confidence has been gradually rising. He has also been taking ownership over crafting his reading
and writing skills. What Eesa should focus on is improving his analytical writing which will sharpen
through constant practice.

Eesa has done well this year in French. He is a polite and respectful student, has made good progress
and demonstrated a good attitude throughout the year. He has been organised and ready to learn each
lesson, contributed when able, but needs to ensure that he completes prep on time. Following his end of
year assessments he shows good understanding of longer and more complex passages but when
writing he makes mistakes in spelling (including accents) and some grammatical errors that can impede
communication. This should definitely be a target for him to improve next year. He has good
pronunciation and can communicate well orally. Overall I have been pleased with Eesa this year. Well
done.

Eesa has had a really positive year in Geography. Over the course of the past term, he has developed a
confidence that has allowed him to make excellent progress. He has begun to make regular, well
thought out and articulate contributions to class discussions and when he is unsure of an answer or task
he will ask for help. In his recent assessment on settlement, he achieved a grade well above his end of
year target level. Eesa showed an excellent understanding of land use models and how cities develop
over time and was able to identify problems that population growth may bring. It has been an absolute
pleasure to teach Eesa this year and I love his positive attitude and outlook in class. Well done Eesa.

Throughout Term 3, we have been exploring the topics of Medieval England and the Renaissance in our
History lessons. At the start of the year, Easa found submitting tasks via Teams to be difficult. However,
following a one-on-one discussion, Easa began to hand in his tasks on time - this is a testament to his
mature nature in taking on board feedback. Easa has really enjoyed the Renaissance topic and has
produced some great tasks. I am happy with the progress that he has made. Easa is an all-rounder in
History; he is excellent at interpreting visual sources and articulating their meaning. Easa is also good
when engaged in literary sources; both primary and secondary. Overall, Easa has had a great year in
History and I look forward to seeing him in the near future.

Eesa has made excellent progress this year. He has shown very good understanding of the National
Curriculum programme of study and has very good independent study skills. He is very organised at
planning ahead and completes class assignments on time and is able to understand feedback for
improvement. Eesa's recitation of the Holy Quran is very good, but he has to learn to name the rules of
Tajweed when asked. By winning the Quran competition this year, I am confident he will do his best and
beyond next year. I enjoyed being Eesa's Islamic teacher this year, well done, and keep up the great
work.

Easa generally approaches lessons with a positive attitude and usually shows good progress in most
areas. Easa has let his drive slacken off recently. He used to ask for extension work every lesson but
now he seems content to do just the work set for the class. I feel that if Easa challenges himself more in
lessons then he would be increase his performance in assessments. In his end of year assessment he
attempted every question and scored marks in every topic except for pie charts. Easa would also
benefit by revisiting his Algebra skills as he still loses marks in those questions with poor layout or
careless mistakes. Algebra is such an important topic since it is used in other topics on a regular basis.
Overall Easa had a good year in Mathematics and should continue to progress.

Eesa enjoys Performing Arts Lessons. He was introduced to Latin American music earlier in the year.
This involved exploring many styles from across this enormous region, including the lively, syncopated
rhythms of Cuba, and the haunting music of the indigenous American Indians. Eesa performed
significant aspects of the music studied such as poly-rhythms and ostinato, and went on to successfully
sing the famous Brazilian Bossa Nova song One Note Samba. Eesa has structured musical ideas via
the score-writing software Noteflight. This included using scales from Arabic music and also from the
music of the French composer, Claude Debussy, whose music Eesa has been studying. It has been
good to see him creating music whilst demonstrating an understanding of aspects of music theory.

Eesa has had a positive year in Physical Education so far. His kit has been good most of the year,
although school house tops should not be worn as PE kit. Eesa does contribute in lessons including in
discussions and questioning which is good to see. His practical skills have shown some signs of
progress, most notably in basketball where he can shoot, dribble and pass effectively. He is punctual to
lessons and his attitude to learning in these lessons is again positive where he confidently participates in
individual and team sports. I would, however, like to see Eesa not be distracted by others around him
who can sometimes take his attention away from the lesson. Having said this, a good year so far. Well
done.

Eesa has performed well in Science this year, meeting or exceeding his target grade in each
assessment. He participates actively in lessons and has the confidence to assume a leading role in
practical investigations. He is attentive and has the self-assurance to ask questions to further his
understanding until his curiosity is satisfied. An important factor in his progress is his willingness to act
on teacher feedback and use it constructively to make additions and improvements to his work. I have
enjoyed teaching Eesa this year and I hope he continues to maintain his appetite for learning. Eesa, well
done on a successful year in Science.

Eesa is a cheerful and polite member of his tutor group. He is punctual to registration and he is always
dressed smart in his uniform. Eesa has received many merits this term and he should be proud of this. It
is no surprise that Science is Eesa’s favourite subject as he loves going to the laboratory and to
practice. He contributes well to interhouse events, he likes football and should be very proud of his
performance for the reading challenge. I have enjoyed getting to know Eesa this term and I look forward
to his continued progress into year 8.
