SPEAKERS

Speaker 1, Speaker 2

[00:00] Speaker 1: So it's my pleasure to be your host today. Actually, I would like to ask you some
questions to know your perspective on the traditional and the modern educational systems. First of all,
what do you think are the main differences between the traditional and the modern educational
systems?

[00:18] Speaker 2: Well, first of all, thank you for having me on this webcast. The main differences
between the two systems, which are the educational, the traditional educational system, and the
modern educational system is that the traditional educational system often follows standardized
curriculum where all students learn the same material at the same pace. And actually, this approach
aims to ensure uniformity and consistency in education. But on the other hand, the modern education
system, Breyer authorized personalized learning, tailoring the education experience, to each student's
individual needs, and strengths and interests. And this approach recognizes that every learner is a
unique and may benefit from different teaching methods and content. So these those are the main
differences between the two systems. Yes.

[01:30] Speaker 1: Do you think that the modern educational system promotes critical thinking, life skills
and decision making skills using technology?

[01:37] Speaker 2: Well, yes, of course, actually, the modern education system, indeed, leverage
technology to promote these things like life skills, critical thinks and other things. And one of the ways
technology foster critical thinking is by providing access to vast amounts of information and resources
beyond what the traditional textbooks can offer. And with the internet, of course, and digital libraries,
students can explore diverse perspectives, conduct research, and engage in independent learning. And
this allows them to analyze and evaluate and synthesize information owning their critical thinking skills.
Moreover, technology enables interactive and collaborative learning experience, and students can
engage in online discussions, virtual simulation and multimedia presentation. And that require actually
them to like, you know, think critically solve problems and make informed decision. And this is where
the beauty of the modern system education is. And the, you know, the thing is that the modern
educational system, make them make informed decision and solve problems through digital platforms
and tool, they can engage in real world scenarios, applying their, you know, knowledge and skills to the
particular situations.
[03:26] Speaker 1: So, it make you see how real life is.

[03:28] Speaker 2: Yes, yes, of course, that's it. So, and actually, I want to add something that, you know,
the technology offers opportunities for students to engage in emphatic decision making process. Like,
for example, that, you know, the modern and education system, through the internet can provide you
with multiple resources, for example, like YouTube, you know, social media websites, and that's what,
you know, can't the traditional education system can't offer you can't find, you know, there's just one
sort of resource on Yes, that's it.

[04:07] Speaker 1: within seconds. Okay. Does the traditional educational system hinder the
development of talented students who may not excel in academics? Or you think it's just an excuse?

[04:16] Speaker 2: A thought provoking question indeed. And the traditional education system actually,
there can be a tendency to bertrise academic excellence and standardized the, you know,
measurements of success, which actually may intentionally hinder talented students who may not excel
in the traditional Academy makes sense. But however, it's important to note like you know that this
doesn't necessarily mean that the traditional system is intentionally designed to hinder such students,
because the traditional system often places a heavy emphasizes in grades, test scores. and academic
achievements, which can create a narrow definition of success. And this can actually, you know, lead to
talented students who process their forms of intelligence or talents. And this is, you know, a very
important thing to understand because many people complaining about how the traditional education
system work, and how it hinders the talented students to improve their talents, improve their skills. And
that's it, yes.

[05: 34] Speaker 1: Okay, have you ever felt That educational system did not help you improve your
talents or skills? If so, which system was it and why?

[05:42] Speaker 2: Well, actually, I think it may be the system I have studying and I have experienced
with is the traditional education system. Because, you know, sometimes because of the lack of ability to
provide, you know, like, some resources or something like, you know, even the books and the teachers.
So, that's may, might be a very, you know, you know, difficult or a problem for talented people, or
someone who wants to achieve something out of the box or out of the curriculum. They may have
difficulties or suffer from this lack of abilities.

[06:26] Speaker 1: So they can get to know their own talent.

[06:29] Speaker 2: Yes. Yes, yeah, they can actually they can. But, you know, it isn't like the modern
education system. Yes.

[06:36] Speaker 1: Do you think that the traditional education system focuses on values, morals and
customs in society?

[06:43] Well, actually yes, in the traditional education system, like there's often strong emphasize on
values, morals and culture, cultural customs within society. And the system recognizes that the
importance of instilling a sense of moral and ethical responsibility in students, as well as preserving
cultural heritage and social norms. One way in which the traditional system focuses on values is throw
the inclusion of moral education or character development programs. And these programs can like aim
to teach students about virtues such as honesty, respect, kindness, and responsibility, you know, they
emphasize the importance of good behavior, ethical decision making and contributing positively to
society. And this is a very good advantage for traditional education system. Because the consistency that
the traditional education system has not like the modern education system, because you know, you go
in a specific time, the class and the specific time and the teacher, like, you know, gives you a specific
information, you have a book that been, you know, reviewed by a lot of experts, and so on that, so this
is maybe the advantages of how the traditional education system improve or promote, like, you know,
kindness and moral and so on. That's it.

[08:26] Speaker 1: Okay. In the modern educational the learning process is learner-centered. Do you
know what that mean?

[08:33] Speaker 2: yes, of course, it's obvious actually but I can, you know, the better answer for this is
by providing the providing you by an excellent example of how the modern education system being
applied. For example, Finland is one of the ranked as top five of the world. It was, I think, the third one
in the world in 2021. And, you know, the features of the Finnish education system is that it's emphasized
and students will be like the Finnish education system places a strong emphasis on student wellbeing,
they believe that happy and will supported students are more likely to thrive academically, and Finland
bertries, small class sizes and individuals support and nurturing learning environment, and which that to
ensure the wellbeing of students. And there is another thing, which is a very interesting thing that I think
it's the best way to, to study or promote information through it. It's the play based learning and the
early years of schooling. Finland emphasize play based learning students engage in hands on exploratory
activities that foster creativity, problem solving skills, and Social Development. And this approach
recognizes that the importance of active learning and child centered or learning, learner centered
education. And there's another thing, which might be the best advantage that Finland have and modern
education has flexibility and autonomy for teachers, Finnish teachers have a high degree course of
autonomy and trust in designing their curricula and implementing teaching methods. And like you know,
imagine that if we did apply this if we do apply this system on our country, how the students will
improve their skills and promote critical thinking and problem solving, because you are actually you are
actually like you know, implementing and see the problem in reality. So, like, you know, that the impact
that the modern education system will vary will be very, very big and enormous Yes.

[11:10] Speaker 1: That was the end of our interview, thank you.

[11:13] Speaker 2: You're Welcome
