Aim and objective of the Study Tour

The aim of a botanical garden tour is to provide an

educational and immersive experience for visitors to
learn about plant collections, conservation, and
scientific research. Botanical gardens typically offer
guided tours, educational displays, and activities to
engage visitors in learning about plant diversity,
ecology, and sustainability.

Significance
The primary purpose of study tour is to
enhance the classroom learning. They provide an
opportunity for student to see, touch and experience
the things what they have learned in the classroom.
We study about some basic and some upper-level
things which we study in classroom.

Floriculture sub-Garden Ksk

In sub-Garden we study about a lot of things which are

given below:
Shade House
Shade is basically a greenhouse but after
some time when the outer side of shade house is not
properly working, we change the name of this place
with shade house. Shade house is medium for indoor
plant those plant which do not need more sunlight.
When we enter in a shade house in hot season, we
suddenly feel the change in envirnment.it suddenly feel
cool inside shade house
Houseplants
Houseplant can hardly tolerate sunlight
most of the household are tropical few houseplants or
subtropical.
1- Palm plant
2- Golden palm plant
3- Fishtail palm plant
4- Cat palm and ladyfinger palm plant

Outdoor plant
Outdoor plants are plants that are grown
outside, in the ground. They need sunlight.
 1-Fish plant
2-vegetable and herb
3-vines

Gladius take 90 days to grow and in winter it takes 100 and

above days to grow. Jasmine commercial flower and it is used
to make garland and it is perennial plant.
Centifolia
Cut flowers are flowers and flower buds (often with some
stem and leave) that have been cut from the plant bearing it.
It is use from the plant for decorative use.
The rose water (rose hydrolat) from roses DUCHER is made
from an extract of distilled rose centifolia petal. this exclusive
formula is 100% natural with no artificial flavour or
preservatives and come in 200ml bottle with convenient mist
spray.

•Punjab agriculture research board floriculture
department gave a research project to “Bagh e Jinnah
of Ksk” department of soilless media standardisation
and technology transfer to farmer for export of
ornamental plants
To export plants to other countries the soil is not used
as a medium now so we must find the way in which we
export plants.
Peat moss is extracted from the countries like Canada
etc then it was seen that from the peat moss the
environment polluted with carbon and carbon dioxide
gases so in many countries the peat moss banned.
But in peat moss the germination of seed is so good
but if we export plant then first, we import peat moss
so there is no benefit of that.
So, we find the way to solve this problem.
Now we are trying to solve this from agriculture waste.
For this purpose, the Punjab agriculture research board
give the floriculture department of Ksk a machine to
research it.
This machine has a composter that crushes agricultural
waste, thermal energy will reach the heat, then the
burner will heat it up, the heat oil will circulate, due to
which the crushing material will be composted, and it
will take nine to 10 days. I will be ready.
 Jallo Park Botanical Garden
•Botanical garden (for the aesthetic purpose we shape
the plants) and medicinal garden
•Butterfly
Approximately 65 species of butterfly are present in
butterfly house. having a life span of adult’s butterfly is
1 to 2 weeks and butterflies hatch in 21 days.
• we have a maize garden as well rose garden. Gulle
Nelam having purple colour flowers landscaping we use
gazebo.
•Ficus
Ficus is a genus of evergreen and deciduous trees,
shrubs, and occasional woody vines with over 700
species. 40 type of Amla trees are there in Jallo park.
•maivaka urban forest, Urban forestry is the sustained
planning, planting, protection and maintenance, and
care of trees, forests, greenspace and related source in
and around the cities. native tree is grown 2 meters
away from each other and spread over
9 and 50 canal.
• Tunnel
Tunnel having temperature less from outside
about 5 degrees in summers.
* Bomby creepers has stated from the start of the
tunnel. Basically, it is a racing track and after banned on
racing it become tunnel and cover the tunnel with
different creepers and having a length 500meter and
different species of plants are there in it.

•vertical Garden
A garden in which the plant is
supported to grow along vertical, often tiered surface,
especially fences, posts, trellises, and walls, rather than
along the ground.
•Tree top walkway
Early walkways consisted of bridge
between trees in the canopy of a forest; mostly linked
up with platform inside or around the trees.
