Virtual Machine Infrastructure Testing – Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
The project owns features to support LSE (Large Scale Event) handling by providing means to co-ordinate and
mitigate NOC issue with least blast radius. Being part of core VMI Reliability team addressing any LSE/NOC events is
utmost important. As part of this project LSE dashboard being developed and integrated with C3PO (Oracle’s core
compute control plane operations) portal which will help in assessing the impact of the LSE event, plan the
activities to mitigate the issue, track/control what actions are taken during the LSE event, monitor the fleet, batch
diagnostics / repair actions, provide live and final metrics/reports, log the actions to Jira and send communication
to the stake holders.
Earlier all these activities were manual and required hours of effort from the Ops team for each LSE/NOC
depending on the severity of the issue. With this centralized dashboard having all the above listed features
integrated, we could save significant time of Ops On call engineers.
Responsibilities:
● Lead the team, create test strategy, test plan and automation framework
