Parent Teacher meetings

We are holding a number of parent/ teacher meetings after half term. These are good opportunities to discuss your child with their teacher and to find out how your child is progressing. Please note that the appointments are for 10 minutes. If you need further discussions please arrange this with the teacher at a mutually convenient time. We will let you know if your child is working at, above, or below the national expectations. Whatever level your child is currently working at we can discuss how you can help them to practice and extend their learning at home. Appointment letters have now been sent home and times are allocated on a first come basis.

Maths Evening for parents

Please join us tonight, Thursday, October 20th at 6.00pm. for a Maths evening with Mrs. McClimont. This will be a good opportunity to find out what methods we use. We promise not to test you!

Please talk to your child about this:

All children should know that if they cant see you at the school gate then they must return to the school office and wait for you there. Please dont offer to take a friends child homeit can cause a lot of panic when we cant find them!!

Well done!
Our children have been very busy representing the school in local sports events. The Appleton boys team won the partnership cross country, the girls team came in second and yesterday we won the Vales cross country cup again!

Visit to the J.R

Our Year 5 and 6 children visited the JR on Tuesday where they were trained to deal with minor injuries and how to use a defibrillator! The children seem quite confident about using this equipmentthe staff are hoping not to put this into practice too soon!
