The Queens Jubilee

Newsletter Date: Our celebrations started today with a talk from Mrs. Felicity Dick, the May 31st. 2012 Deputy Lord Lieutenant Of Oxfordshire, about her special role as Term 5 Issue 7 Queens representative in the county. Mrs. Jo Golding kindly presented each child with a Jubilee medal from Diary dates: the Appleton with Eaton Jubilee committee. Tomorrow we have the decorated crown competition followed by a Jubilee tea at 2.15p.m. If you can help to serve the tea then please let your childs teacher know. Please remember to bring your donations of cakes, biscuits, drinks etc. to school on Friday.

New Teachers
We are pleased to announce the appointments of two new teachers, Mr. Nathan Hunter (KS2) and Ms. Kayleigh Dillon (KS1). The quality of applicants was incredibly high and selecting the final applicants was very difficult. All candidates taught the children, made presentations, and were interviewed by the School Council, Governors and staff. Mrs Brown is deciding which classes the new teachers will teach and will let you know as soon as she has finalised her plans. Parents will have an opportunity to meet Mr. Hunter on the Ice Breaker morning on Friday, July 13th.

Summer Fete on Sun. June 24th. Year 5 and Year 6 visit to PGL Open Day on The children had a wonderful time at the PGL Activity Centre in Tues. July 3rd. Liddington. They came back tired but very happy. Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Penn, Ms. Dillon, Ms. Schofield, and Ms. Thompson Sports Evening were most impressed with the childrens behaviour and how well they Fri. July 6th. coped with being away from home. The children were most impressed with Mrs. Evans courage on the zip School Plays on July 9, 10 and wire and the giant swing.
