Why the Numbers aren't...

Let's make this quick and easy. These guys...
are not secretly these guys...
and we can be sure of it because a silhouette that

resembles no Number revealed so far other than
Zanki (on the left above) can be seen chasing the
Scabbards right after Oden's execution here...
And though there is a chance this figure could be the

yet unseen sixth Number, it felt to me like the
explanation of Kaido buying the Numbers from Punk
Hazard wanted to imply he bought them all at once,
and there were at least two present at the time of
Oden's execution.
But if you don't buy the bulk purchase idea, let's

consider the logistics of sending the three samurai to
be experimented on and transformed. Punk Hazard
was under full World Government control until just
four years ago. While it might have been possible to
buy failed experiments through CP0 during that time,
they probably weren't taking requests to work on
specific people. Not requests made by pirates,
anyway.
It's technically not impossible that Kaido could have

sold the defeated samurai into World Government
slavery instead of either killing them or trying to
break their spirits like he normally does, and that the
WG then sent them to Punk Hazard to be
experiments, and that Kaido bought the Numbers in
several batches instead of all at once, unknowingly
picking up the altered samurai late in the process,
and that the numbers in their names don't relate at
all to their order of creation or acquisition. All
technically possible, but pretty damn convoluted.
It's much simpler, more likely and better supported

by the evidence in the manga that they're just not
the same people.

I never even heard of the theory that they

became numbers prior to this.

It only popped up after the most recent

chapter. Two of them have similar
headshapes so some people just went ahead
and assumed.

I find this theory weird.. It was implied kaido got

the ancient giants from punk hazard, not that he
made them himself. So the timeline doesnt make
sense.
How come he had a few giants, then made

another bunch from these guys himself?
