FITT principle is an acronym for Frequency, Intensity, Time, and Type.


Time -The number of sessions in a week.
Intensity -It is the difficulty level of exercise or work demand. It can be light, moderate, or vigorous
Type- the mode of exercise or activity.
Frequency -the duration or distance covered in an exercise session.

Cardiovascular-respiratory Fitness -The body of a physically fit person can sufficiently and efficiently supply fuel or
oxygen to the muscles during physical activities via the circulatory & respiratory systems.
Muscle Fitness -This refers to one’s ability to use muscles for physical activities.
Flexibility -This refers to a person’s ability to move his or her joints smoothly through a complete range of motion
Body Composition- This refers to the measurement of the relative amounts of a person’s body’s fat,muscle, bone, and
water.
Physical Activity -It refers to the bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditures.
Physical Inactive- A person who does not get the recommended level of regular physical activity.
Aerobic physical activity -It is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic exercise with stretching and strength
training routines to improve all elements of fitness.
Muscle-strengthening physical activity-It increases skeletal muscle strength, power, endurance, and mass.

Variation Principle- Athletes must change their routine for activities for maximum results and lessen stress injuries.
Orienteering -A group of sports that require navigational skills using a map and compass.
Camping-An outdoor activity involving overnight stays away from home.
Mountaineering -a physical activity where participants try to reach the summit of a mountain.
- A high-intensity physical activity that requires significant strength, endurance, and technical skills.
Recreational activities -It helps manage stress and help create balance between academic pressures with physical and
mental well-being.
Aquatic activities-This is from the word “aqua” meaning water and involves its related activities.
Individual water sports- A type of aquatic activities require great physical strength, perseverance, determination, positive
attitude, and a burning desire to excel
Scuba diving is a diving method where a diver uses a regulator as the breathing apparatus and a tank with compressed
air which enables the diver to breath normally underwater
Buoyancy -It is the upward force of the water on an object
Hydrostatic-It is the pressure exerted by the water at equilibrium due to the force of gravity.
Hydrostatic pressure -One of the characteristics of water which provides a unique environment for activities and good
workout
Snorkeling-aquatic activity that is effective for improving cardiovascular health
Water yoga-The most effective aquatic activity for improving flexibility and range of motion
Orienteering offers many benefits, but its biggest attraction is Fun .
