The bar chart compares the percentage change in average house prices
in five nations including New York, Madrid, Tokyo, Frankfurt, and
London from 1990 to 2002 with that in 1989. As can be seen, in the
initial period, only Madrid, and Frankfurt had the housing prices
increasing whilst between 1996 and 2002, almost all the cities in
question had the cost of houses risen apart from Tokyo.

From 1990 to 1995, the price of accommodation in both Madrid, and


Frankfurt saw a significantly growth compared with that in 1989 (grew
by 2% and 3%, respectively). In contrast, New York, Tokyo, and London
experienced a fall in the cost of houses. The figure for that in New
York declined by 5%. That for Tokyo, and London were fall by 3%
higher than that for New York.

Between 1996 and 2002, New York, Madrid, Frankfurt, and London had
a rise. The percentage change in average house prices in Frankfurt
stoods out with the lowest data compared to that in New York, Madrid,
and London whilst the opposite can be seen in London (2% and 12%,
respectively). The price of accommodation in New York and Madrid had
a disparity of 1%. The prices in the former were changed 5% and the
latter had the percentage change at 4%. Especially, the percentage
change in house prices in Tokyo still decreased (at 5%)
