Lift Plan – Other Lifting Equipment

Project Name: Janssen - Hercules Project No: 4634

Package: HVAC Contractor: Induct BV
Date Prepared: 08.09.2023 Lift Plan Ref. No: Rev: 01

Section A Description of Lifting Activities:

This lift plan serves to take away the scrap metal in the laydown area.
The Lorry loader comes equipped with an orange peel/grabbing crane which will take the left over materials from the demolished AHU’s.
The lorry will be parked backwards to our container inside our laydown area.
The lifting area will be cordoned off and everyone will be removed from the area within 5m radius, ensuring a safe lift.
The grab itself is designed to handle certain types of materials, such as scrap metal, waste, or bulk goods.
The whole time the activity will be supervised by the HSE personnel.

The following sequence must be used:

Pre-Lift Phase:
1. Check Equipment Compatibility:

 Verify that our crane and grab are compatible with our lorry and integrated container.

 Ensure that they are suited for lifting scrap material.

2. Conduct Pre-Lift Inspection:

 Thoroughly inspect the crane, grab, lorry, and integrated container for any issues that might compromise safety.
3. Verify Load Weight:

 Ensure the weight of the scrap material to lift is within the crane's and grab's weight limits.

 Confirm that the payload, including the container’s weight, is within the lorry's overall capacity.
Engagement and Lifting Phase:
4. Position Scrap Material:

 Use the crane and grab to evenly distribute scrap material within the jaws to ensure a balanced center of gravity.
5. Engage the Grab:

 Confirm that the grab fully encloses and grips the scrap material securely.

 Perform a slight test lift to validate that engagement is secure.

6. Control Operational Speed:

 Operate the crane at a smooth, controlled speed to avoid dislodging or dropping the material.
