MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Personal Preparation

Prior-
My preparation for online demo teaching was quite hard in
searching and downloading the resources I needed, because it’s
difficult to find and takes time to download and also, it drag lots of
my mobile data. I have also prepared my PPT which is very
important that’s why, by watching YouTube tutorials on how they
created their presentation gives me more idea. To be more
prepared, I also watch techniques for the online demo teaching on
YouTube so that I can apply this one during my presentation and it
also helps me, ease the pressure I have felt at that time.

Actual-
I have prepared in actual virtual class demonstration, is first
I finished my meals for me not to become hungry during the
class and it’s also important not to drain my energy immediately,
as well as drinking lots of water, I also take my bath so that
when my camera is open then, I look so fresh. I have also
checked my lessons if there’s anything that is lacking so that I can
immediately make an action of it. I have also prepared 140 pesos
of load to ensure that I can’t leave the online class and also
found a better place with a strong signal.

Student Behavior during the Virtual class

Positive-
In my experience during the virtual class demonstration,
students participated in my activities, they have also, this
eagerness to answer the questions that was given to
them. What I love was they follow the rules that was given by me
before the class started, moral of the students within the platform
was showed. I was also amazed when some of them got a perfect
score on my quiz, this means that they really understand and listen
my discussion.

Negative-
The first thing I noticed was their lack of attendance; many of
them were absent. Some of them were also not participating,
despite the fact that I had shouted their names. Furthermore,
some of the students were not paying attention.

Realization/Reflection

Positive-
I salute to all the teachers who made an effort because this
pandemic made our education more difficult but despite of this situation
they still made an effort just to give the better learning to their students. I

can relate the feelings they have felt conducting the new normal education
while I’m having my online demonstration. This is a great experience for
me to be a knowledgeable teacher someday, an opportunity that will help
me to grow as a learning educator. It also helps me to know each culture
and different personalities of a student so that, soon if I become a teacher
I already know how to handle those differences inside the classroom.

Negative-
The one that I think that it would affect my learning situation, is
when the Higher Education brings back the face to face classes, adjusting
again takes time because we’ve accustomed online classes, already. In
the other side the one that affected my online demo teaching the slow
internet connectivity.
