As a facilitator, you are expected to orient the learners on how to
use this module. You also need to keep track of the learners' progress
while allowing them to manage their own learning at home.
Furthermore, you are expected to encourage and assist the learners as
they do the tasks included in the module.

For the learner:


As a learner, you must learn to become responsible of your own
learning. Take time to read, understand, and perform the different
activities in the module.
As you go through the different activities of this module be
reminded of the following:
1. Use the module with care. Do not put unnecessary mark/s on
any part of the module. Use a separate sheet of paper in

Before we start, I would like to know how far you know about the Western
Music. Specifically, it seeks to achieve the following learning competencies:
create artworks that can be locally assembled with local materials,
guided by 21st-century techniques A10PR-IIc-e-1; apply different
media techniques and processes to communicate ideas, experiences,
and stories showing the characteristics of 21st-century art A10PR-IIb-
e-3.
And we will focus our learning objectives with the following:

1 identify selected different effects and features in a mobile phone


art application;
2 apply various features in a wide range of mobile art applications;
and
3 manage to modify a saved image or illustration using the mobile
phone art application.

Mobile Phone Art

Mobile Phone Art explores some of the groundbreaking works

that are being created by artists today using cell phone technologies.

These works engage such features and technologies as camera

phones and video phones that consist of wide range special features.

From a mere communication tool, aside from editing photos,

mobile phones are also helpful in doing assignments that may

include combinations of pictures, texts and animations. Here are

some of the special features that a mobile phone art application has:

• Crop – remove a part from the original image

• Insert Text – add text to the image, can be applied in

different styles

• Apply Frames – an element added to look like a picture

frame

• Flip – allows you to turn image by a mirror-reversal

You may also try some of the following effects, as well as others

offered by the application(s) you are using:

• resize

• warp

• rotate

• adjust brightness

• adjust sharpness

• change colors

• gray scale

• sepia tone

• add an element that is not in the original image

• edit out an element that you do not want to appear

Lights, Camera, Act-Shot!!!

Direction: Below are the steps to create mobile phone art. Follow the

instructions.

1. Get your android phone and use its cellphone camera.

2. Capture as many photos as you can of yourself (selfie), save your

captured image, and select which photo you desire to beautify.

3. Manage to modify your saved image using any of the applications

installed in your available device(s), experiment various special effects and

features to make it more interesting. You can try the effects that are

mentioned in the lesson. Be creative.

4. Use at least two (2) mobile applications (e.g. snapchat, Instagram,

Pics Art, and etc.) to edit your captured photos. Upload the original/raw

photo and the edited photo on your class facebook group page to be checked

by your subject teacher.

1. Look for your baby picture that you want to imitate. (If you don’t have
one, any picture of you will do.)
2. You must re-enact your pose in the picture and use mobile phone art app
to edit your new photo recreating the old one. You can use different features
in a single photo at the same time. Be creative.
3. Then submit your output to your subject teacher via messenger.

• Crop, insert text, apply frame, flip are few of the effects that a mobile

phone art applications offers.

• The following are also effects and special features of an application:

resize, skew/warp, change colors, rotate, adjust brightness, adjust

sharpness, gray scale, sepia tone, add an element that is not in the

original image, edit out an element that you do not want to appear.

• A mobile phone art application has wide-range of features wherein you

can used for editing and enhancing your photos in just one click. Your

ordinary pictures will transform into a piece of art. It makes the

editing process easy and reliable.

1. Yes. The product of mobile phone art apps are true art. It just
happens that the technology is capable in creating an artwork in just
one click. Just by manipulating your android phones you can simply
turn an ordinary picture to a work of art. Even it is not the way we
produce art from early years, the artist still uses talent and skill in a
conventional way.
