B. Presentation

What part of your body did we use when

we danced? - Feet and Hand Teacher!
Yes, very Good! When we dance, we use
our body to perform different movements.

Those movements include our hands and

feet. But today we will be focusing on
using our feet, called Locomotor skills.
- No/Yes, Teacher!
Do you have any idea what is Locomotor (Locomotor skills are done using
skills? your feet to move from one place
to another)
Locomotor skills are done using our feet
to move from one place to another.
Now there are 7 fundamental Locomotor
skills.

These are:
1. Walking - is an alternate
movement of both feet.
2. Running – a movement of both
feet in a fast motion. - Students demonstrate each of
3. Jumping – is springing both feet the locomotor skills.
and landing on both feet.
4. Hopping – a movement where
you use your one foot and land on
the same foot.
5. Skipping – is a combination of
hopping and walking using one
foot and landing on the other foot.
6. Leaping – is springing on one foot
and land on the other foot.
7. Galloping – is a movement
forward or sideward using both
feet in the same direction.

(The teacher will allow the students to

demonstrate each of the locomotor
skills.)

Yes, very good, it is because it allows our

body to move and have exercise. Without
it, we cannot move our bodies.

D. Generalization

Now that we are through with our

discussion. Can someone give me the - Locomotor skills are done

Yes, very good Joanne!

How about the 7 fundamental skills, can Skipping, Hopping, Leaping, Running,
someone enumerate those seven? Jumping, Galloping, and Walking.
Yes, Bea!

Very Good Bea! Now that we know the

seven fundamental skills of locomotor.
Let’s play a game to test if you have
learned something from our discussion.

E. Application

Do you want to play a game? - Yes, Teacher!

Now I have divided you into three groups

procedure was done for the rest of the
groups)

Now we are going to play LOCO RELAY.

For the instructions for the game, I have
here cones/ bottles each one of you will
pass the obstacles using the locomotor
skills that you’ve learned earlier. Are you - Yes, Teacher!
