behind it?

getting tired so quickly. Do you agree?

 Okay, thank you Pacudan. So again, Physical

Fitness is divided into four health- and six
skill-related components. However, we will
focus first on health components. With this,
when we say health-related components it
focuses on factors that prevent the onset of
disease and problems associated with an
activity

 To begin with, does anyone wants to read the

four health components? Any volunteers? *Student clicks the raise hand button*

 Okay class, what do you mean by cardio?  Heart, sir.
 Good! How about vascular?
 I guess no one can answer. Class, vascular
means, circulatory. This is also called
cardiorespiratory (lungs) fitness. Remember  aerobic exercises

exercises.

 Next, may I request Abao to read the slide?

 Thank you, Abao. So this is quite the opposite

of cardiovascular fitness because
cardiovascular fitness is measured over a
certain period.

 While on the other hand, muscular strength is

endurance?

 Yes, Kaye.

 Correct! Thank you for that Kaye. With these

two, Muscular strength and endurance are the  push-ups and sit-ups
muscle’s ability to produce effort or perform
work.

 For the third component, we have flexibility.

to move through a full range of motion. Take  Yes, sir because stretching involves flexibility.
note that stretching is the best way to improve
flexibility. Am I correct?

 Exactly! And lastly, we have body

composition. May I request Kc to read the
slide?  The student will read the slide
 Thank you, Kc. Body composition is a better
indicator of your overall fitness condition than
body weight. So may I ask why is it important  Because it relates to your overall fitness level is
to be aware of our body composition? essential.

 Yes and take note, that is useful in helping to

determine health risks and also, you will be
aware of whether your health is at risk or not.
That is why we have to be conscious of what
we eat and practice a healthy lifestyle to
prevent ourselves from possible health
diseases. Did you get it, class?
 Yes, sir.
 Good! So what have you learned from today’s
lesson?  The student will answer.

 All right! It’s good to know that you are

listening. Also, remember that being physically

the stresses and demands of life and this
improves your self-esteem, develops your
confidence and self-concept which can only be
realized when you are older. That is why we
have to be careful with our lifestyle. Do you
have any questions? Or clarifications?  None, sir.

 Okay, none. So let’s have a quick review. Are

you ready?  Yes, sir.

It is the ability to move a body part through a

full range of motion.
 FLEXIBILITY

individual has enough energy to avoid fatigue
 FITNESS
 All right, well done! Thank you for your
