1. Routines and procedures for managing and using materials, supplies, and technology Features and
Characteristics of physical spaces that are safe and productive for learning.

In this topic, it helps me strengthen my idea about the importance of classroom management.
Generally speaking, classroom management is critical because it directly affects your students' learning
ability and teaching ability. Thus, it has an impact on a teacher's ability to teach smoothly and
effectively. Most importantly, if a classroom is well-managed, it significantly impacts students' academic
performance and behavior. Teachers should develop clear, discrete procedures for dealing with routine,
simple, easy for students to understand, and quick for them to execute. In addition, I have learned the
classroom procedure elements through the discussion, such as managing groups to allow students to
work cooperatively, transitions, and materials and supplies. At this point, the teacher is allowed to
incorporate various approaches to cater suitable learning needs of the children. With this, the teacher
must observe how the students generate their ideas and act as facilitators. As of the transitioning, we
should preserve the fun and engaging discussion during the teaching and learning process, knowing that
preschoolers have a short attention span. Therefore, in switching to different subjects, we have to run
the flow smoothly and concisely to maintain the energy of the class. Lastly, for the materials and
supplies, we have to organize the classroom consistently. Teachers must maintain easy access to
frequently used teaching materials and student supplies. In addition, we have to teach students to
return everything in place as part of classroom management. Therefore, whatever strategies we
incorporate in our class, we always have to reflect on ourselves as a teacher whether our style of
managing the class is adequate. As a result, we must modify the actions taken inside the classroom to
make learning more effective and avoid disruptions to maintain a positive learning environment.

2. Nonverbal Cues for Preschool Classroom Management

As part of classroom management, non-verbal cues in a preschool classroom help maintain the class
flow. As per observation from various classrooms, specifically in preschool. I am amazed at how these
learners effectively follow instructions. Sometimes, when they want to pee or ask questions, they tend
to raise their hands and ask. There are also times; they use hand gestures for teachers not to be easily
distracted during discussions. I think that is effective, including posting posters for them to be reminded
at all times. According to the discussion, it must be done through a few words or pictures and music as
well, that could be a big help for students because some prefer this way, knowing that they are
preschoolers. All of these non-verbal cues allows a teacher to make connections to your student and
build trust.
