STAR SCOUT INVESTITURE

NOVEMBER 29, 2022

I. ENTRANCE
1. At a signal from North Star, Star Clusters will have their entrance with light skipping steps until they fall
into 5 column formation.
2. Five Bright Stars then enters carrying the magic carpet. With light skipping steps, the Bright Stars sing
“The Magic Carpet Song”.

Spreading the Magic Carpet
The Magic Carpet is laid at the center of the area where the ceremony is being held.
3. In semi-circle formation, the cluster with light skipping steps, gather around the Magic Carpet singing their
Cluster song.
*We’re the Starlight shining through, brave and helpful to all of you.
* We’re the Stardust on our way, to help the people every day.
* Here we are the jolly Starbeams, helping people where trouble gleams.
* Here we are the sparkling Starrays, giving help with a smiling face.
* We’re the Starglow watch us grow, helpful truthful wherever we go.

4. The four Bright Stars will hide. (This is done while the girls sing their cluster songs until they fall into
semi-circle formation around the Magic Carpet.)
5. North Star:
Hello Little Girls,
I’m glad that you are all here.
But wait, I can see little girls hiding.
Morning Star, please bring them all to me.
6. Morning Star:
Here they are North Star.
These little girls are the Bright Stars.
They are with their Cluster members.
7. North Star:
Why are you here Bright Stars?

8. Bright Stars and Clusters:

a. Bright Star: I’m with Cluster STARLIGHT.
All members of the Cluster: We want to be Star Scouts. (Say in unison with Star Scout sign)
We can be brave and helpful to everyone.
b. Bright Star: Cluster STARDUST is our name.
All members of the Cluster: We want to be Star Scouts. (Say in unison with Star Scout sign)
We love to help people every day.
c. Bright Star: We’re the Jolly STARBEAMS.
All members of the Cluster: We want to be Star Scouts. (Say in unison with Star Scout sign)
Obedience is our game.

d. Bright Star: Sparkling STARRAYS is our name. (Say in unison with Star Scout sign)
All members of the Cluster: We want to be Star Scouts.
Being respectful is our aim.

e. Bright Star: STARGLOW is our cluster name. (Say in unison with Star Scout sign.)
All members of the Cluster : We want to be star scouts.
We can be helpful and truthful all the time.

All Cluster: All these we will do. With a smile on our face.

9. North Star: Wow, I have heard your cluster promises.

You all wish to become Star Scouts.
Before I grant your wish, I want to hear the STAR SCOUT RPOMISE AND LAW.
10. All Cluster will recite the STAR SCOUT PROMISE AND LAW.

I promise to do my best A Star Scout is Truthful.
To love God and my country A Star Scout is Obedient.
To help other people everyday.
Especially those at home.
11. North Star: Welcome, My Little Friends.
I welcome you to the Girl Scout Movement.
Keep your promise and be guided by the Star Scout Law.
(North Star/Investing Officer pins the world pin and star pin on the Bright Stars uniform then shakes the left
hand of the Star Scout.)

12. Morning Star: Dear parents and guests may I invite you to stand behind our newly installed
Stars to don their scarf.

Let’s clap our hands to the newly installed Star Scouts.

(Parents and guests are asked to go back to their respective areas.)

13. North Star: Star Scouts, let’s join hands and have our Dancing Ring while singing the Star Scout Song.

(Skip 8 steps to the left, then 8 steps to the right singing the song two times.)
14. Morning Star: Star Scouts, let us do our Grand Salute.
(Stars execute the Grand Salute.)
15. North Star: Now, Star Scouts, let’s have our Magic Tunnel while singing the
“Tidy-Up Song” (Exit of Star Scouts)
