Dear Parents/Guardians,

Excellence 2000 Science (E2K)

We are pleased to invite your child/ward to participate in the Excellence 2000 Science (E2K)
programme. This is an enrichment programme advocated by the Gifted Education Branch for
students who demonstrate interest and ability in Science.

The enrichment will be conducted by our own teachers, Mdm Ang Lor Nah, Mdm Poh You Ting and
Mdm Farah Filza, who have been trained in the E2K pedagogy. They will be using a set of curriculum
units which are specially designed to challenge high-progress students and help them gain important
21st century competencies such as critical and inventive thinking and effective communication skills.
Students will develop confidence and independence in carrying out investigations as well as cultivate
good habits, attitudes and dispositions for Science through collaborative learning and guidance by
the teachers.

The details of the programme are as follows:

Date : Tuesdays from Term 1 to Term 2 (refer to dates attached)

Time : 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm (2 hours)
Greenridge Primary School (Isaac Newton Science Lab)
Venue :
Gather at Quiet Zone after lunch break

Students are reminded to bring some money for lunch and may bring snacks to be consumed in
class.
