I. TITLE: CLEAN-UP DRIVE

II. OBJECTIVES:
a. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the school and surrounding;
b. Inculcate awareness to the community regarding the importance of the program;
c. Brighten the spirit of Maka-Kalikasan among stakeholders of San Juan de Moriones
Elementary School.

III. BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

Clean –Up Drive Program, this community service was conducted at San Juan de Moriones
Elementary School. The activity was sponsored by United Ilocandia Civic Action Group
San Jose Chapter led by the President of United Ilocandia, Mr, Jomel T. Rivera and Kgwd.
Dan Rollo and it was laid from 7am to 12 noon.

IV. NARRATIVE
To secure a clean, mosquito-free and conducive environmenr for the learners and
teachers, and as mandated in Republic Act No. 9512 – Environmental Awareness Education
Act states that the Department of Education (DepEd) shall integrate environmental
education in its school curricula at all levels. Thus, the San Juan de Moriones Elementary
School strongly adhere to this act for the benefit not only the cleanliness but also the safety
of the teachers and learners in school especially nowadays that different diseases or viruses
are becoming uncontrolled caused by COVID-19.
On Tuesday, June 22, 2021, officers and members of United Ilocandia Civic Action
Group conducted a clean up drive which started at exactly 7:30 in the morning and ended at
12 noon with the utmost participation of the group willing to contribute progress and
change in the school premises. The activity is in line with the PROJECT 4G (Grow with the
Green, Garbage-free Garden) wherein the proponent, Mam Rosemarie L. Galapon would

like to instill the importance of community as part of the natural resources and the proper
way of taking care of the environment.
Cleanup activity includes sweeping the school grounds, cut tall grasses, picking up
litters and waste beside the school yards. Participating United Ilocandias also plant
flowering plants and vegetables.
