CHECKLIST OF DATA TO BE INTEGRATED TO THE

BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT PLAN

BARANGAY HISTORY

1. Create a timeline of historical events.


2. Include developmental milestones
3. Include the previous disaster for the past ten years and
described their effects on your barangay

2. Barangay Equipment: Does the barangay have any equipment? What


are these and what are their present condition? Are there ample
disaster related equipment in the barangay. (based on the
minimum requirements of LISTO si KAP)

3. Hazard Susceptibility of the Barangay: What are the


natural/geologic hazards present in the barangay? Use Annex 1 for the
hazard susceptibility inventory of the barangay.

4. Records of previous disasters of the barangay. What are the


disaster or hazard events that happened in the barangay for the last ten
years? What are the damages caused by this disaster/hazard events in
terms of casualties, affected persons/families and damaged
households/properties? Use Annex 2 for the records of previous
disasters of the barangay.

15.2. Barangay Officials/Personnel: Who are the incumbent officials of the


barangay? How many barangay personnel are there? (include BDC and
BDRRMC Structure)

DEMOGRAPHY
1. How many of the population are exposed to the identified hazards by
the barangay in terms households, gender, young and old dependency
and persons with disabilities. Use Annex 3 for the population
exposure to hazards in the barangay.

HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

HEALTH

1. What are the health facilities present in the barangay? Are these
facilities exposed to natural/geologic hazards identified by the
barangay?

WATER AND SANITATION

1. What are the households’ main sources of safe water supply? If the
Barangay has data, indicate level 1, 2, 3 water supply. Are these water
sources exposed to natural/geologic hazards identified by the barangay?
How many households/population will be affected if there will be
disruption in water services due to disaster?

HOUSING

1. How many households in the barangay live in makeshift housing?


Compare across puroks/sitios and explain using the reasons cited
during the community validation exercise. How many of the
households/population live in makeshift housing are exposed to
natural/geologic and human induced hazards identified by the
barangay?

2. How many households in the barangay are classified as


squatters/informal settlers? Compare across puroks/sitios and explain
using the reasons cited during the community validation exercise.
How many households/population of these ISFs are exposed to
natural/geologic hazards identified by the barangay

3. How many hectares of residential areas are present in the barangay?


Are there residential areas exposed to natural/geologic hazards
identified by the barangay? How many of the households/population
will be affected if there will be disaster?

EDUCATION

1. What are the education facilities (Daycare Center, Elementary School,


High School, and College) present in the barangay? Are these
facilities exposed to natural/geologic hazards identified by the
barangay? If these facilities will be damaged during disasters, how
many students will be affected? If these facilities will be used as
evacuation center, how many students will be affected?

PEACE AND ORDER AND PUBLIC SAFETY

1. What are the social welfare facilities (include barangay hall,


Operation Center and evacuation centers) present in the barangay?
Are these facilities exposed to natural/geologic hazards identified by
the barangay?

2. How many households have disaster preparedness kits? What are the
content of the kits?

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Income and Livelihood

1. How many hectares of agricultural or forest lands are present in the


barangay? What are the main crops produced?

2. Are these lands exposed to natural/geologic hazards identified by the


barangay? How many farmers will be affected if these lands will be
damaged by disasters? How much will be the cost of damage for the
agricultural products?

3. How many hectares of lands in the barangay are intended for


commercial purposes? Are these lands exposed to geologic/natural
hazards identified by the barangay? How many business establishment
will be affected if there will be disaster?

4. How many hectares of land in the barangay are considered as coastal


or marine areas? Are these areas exposed to natural hazards identified
by the barangay? How many households are present along the coast
line? How many fisher folks/fisherman can be affected during times
of disaster? How much will be the cost of damage for fishery/aquatic
products?

5. What are the major roads in the barangay that are exposed to
natural/geologic hazards identified by the barangay that may cause
closure at least a week? If these roads will be affected disaster, what
would be its effects in the business, service delivery etc.? Are there
alternative routes or contingency plans present?

6. What are the sources of electricity in the barangay? Are these sources
exposed to natural/geologic hazards identified in the barangay? How
many households and business establishments will be affected in the
barangay if there will be power interruption due to disaster?
7. What are the telecommunication facilities/providers present in the
barangay? Are these facilities exposed to natural/geologic hazards
identified by the barangay? How many number of population will be
affected if there will be interruption in their services during disaster?

twelve months? How many households in the barangay participated in
or availed of these programs? Compare across puroks/sitios and sexes.
Are there programs, projects and activities related to DRR-CCA
implemented in the barangay (ex. Earthquake drill or fire drill)? What
are these projects?
