1. Are all the assessment tasks aligned to the learning outcome?
I believe that the assessment tasks are correctly aligned to the learning outcome. The learning outcome jives with the

assessment task.

2. What are possible consequences if teacher's assessment tasks are not aligned to learning outcome/s? Does this
affect assessment results? How?
If teacher's assessment tasks are not aligned to learning outcome/s, then the teacher would not easily measure if the
student have acquired the expected learnings of the students. And the students may not be guided enough to reflect the
learnings they acquired to relate to practical situations.

3. Why should assessment tasks be aligned to the learning outcomes?

Because the learning outcomes must be materialized by the assessment task. In other words, it is for the students to
be able to reach the learning standard of the lesson. The entire learning processes must be aligned to the learning
objectives, if they are not all aligned the lesson, efforts, and everything will be useless.
Reflect
Reflect on past assessments you have been through. Were they all aligned with what your teacher taught with
learning outcomes?
How did this affect your performance? As a future teacher, what lesson do you learn from this past experience and
from this observation?
As far as I could remember, the assessment used by my teachers were all aligned with what my teacher taught with
learning outcomes. For instance, the learning outcome is to be able to dance a traditional Filipino dance. My P.E. teacher
taught us the basic dance steps of traditional Filipino dances. She taught us from footsteps to hand gestures, then she
assessed us with a dance that we must perform. Another example is the lesson about respiratory system, and the learning
outcome is to be able to name the parts of respiratory system and discuss the function of each, the discuss the process.
After the lesson the teacher gave us a balloon experiment and the assessed us the respiratory process by naming the art of
a picture of the respiratory system and identify the function of each part. Then we were instructed to discuss the breathing
process and the importance to keep the respiratory system healthy. It affected my performance critically as it helped me to
use my learnings in practical situations and it guided me to reflect well to reach the learning outcomes.
As a future teacher, I learned that assessment gives huge and critical impact as it helps the learners realize the
relevance of their learnings.
