The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic brings concomitant problems not only to the health sector

but also to education and economy. This economic disturbance displaced workers which cause poverty
and hunger to most of the people The Department of Education had lunched
Gulayan sa Paaralan which aims to encourage public elementary and secondary schools nation wide to
establish school garden to ensure continuous supply of vegetables for the School Based Feeding Program.
Nampicuan
Central School being the recipient of Gulayan sa Paaralan Fund purchase materials for trellis , tools and
seeds for the said program. The school planted petchay , sigarilyas, eggplant , mustard, papaya, pepper
okra and sweet potato. These plants are still maintained and propagated for the feeding program of the
school.
