PROJECT PROPOSAL FOR GULAYAN SA PAARALAN

. PROJECT TITLE:
GULAYAN SA PAARALAN
AT SA TAHANAN
II. RATIONALE:
Gulayan sa Paaralan
Program (GPP) was
launched by the Department
of Education in
partnership with the
Department of Agriculture to
promote the value of
school gardening as
contribution to the feeding
program and raise awareness to
have a locally grown vegetables
and
crops that will benefit the
community.
Cutcut Elementary School
has remained steadfast in
its advocacy to support and
sustain
“Gulayan sa Paaralan at
Tahanan” by procuring garden
tools and equipment, asking
donations
-seeds/ seedlings from
stakeholders, and improving the
school garden to sustain the
needs of the
feeding beneficiaries of the
school.
III. DESCRIPTION OF THE
PROJECT:
This project was conceptualized
through the aspiration of
establishing profitable backyard
gardening that will serve as a
food basket or main source of
food and highlight the
importance of
nutrition.
This will be spearheaded by
Gulayan sa Paaralan
Coordinator, supported by the
School Head
and the EPP teachers and
parents of pupils.
There will be planting of
vegetables by teachers and
parents, donations of
seeds/seedlings,
pots and loam soil, harvesting
of vegetables, and contest for
vegetable planting for parents

I. RATIONALE:
Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) was launched by the
Department of Education in partnership with the Department of
Agriculture to promote the value of school gardening as
contribution to the feeding program and raise awareness to have a locally
grown vegetables and crops that will benefit the community.
Balungisan National High School has remained steadfast in its
advocacy to support and sustain “Gulayan sa Paaralan” with the propose
project title”TANGKONG” by asking donations-seeds/ seedlings from
stakeholders, and improving the school garden to sustain the needs of the
school-based feeding beneficiaries of the school.

II. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT :
This project was conceptualized through the aspiration of establishing
profitable backyard gardening that will serve as a food basket or main source
of food and highlight the importance of nutrition. This will be spearheaded by
Mrs. April Joy S. Pecato,EdD the School Principal, Gulayan sa Paaralan
Coordinator, supported by the School Head, Advisers,TLE teachers, Parents
and learners. There will be planting of vegetables by grade level, donations of
seeds/seedlings from DA, pots and loam soil, harvesting of vegetables, and
contest for backyard vegetable gardening per section.

III. OBJECTIVES:
A. To establish clean and healthy environment
B. To cultivate soil to produce good and healthy vegetables
C. To generate income with lesser expenses and ready for school-based feeding program.
D. To use in school-based supplementary feeding for LARDOS and severely stunted based on
nutritional status.
E. To ensure the availability of food inside the school campus and ready to use for any activities
inside the school.
IV. PARTICIPANTS

School Principal, School Head, Gulayan sa Paaralan Coordinator, TLE teachers, Advisers, Learners and
Parents and Stakeholders.

EVALUATION:
The Gulayan Sa Paaralan at
Tahanan shall be jointly
monitored and harvested by the
parents,
students and teachers. Through
the support or our School
Principal headed by Mr.
Frederick M.
SImbulan. The harvested
vegetables in the school shall be
immediately submitted to our
feeding
program teacher, Ms. Mylene
Naranta.
