ACCOMPLISHMENT
Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself. The
Alternative Learning System in the Philippines provides a practical option to
the existing formal instruction when one does not have or cannot access

formal education in schools. With this, the Bunawan District addressed the
needs of the basic education for Out of School Youth and Out-of-School
Adults in this municipality particularly in far flung barangays, to raise the
level of literacy in the target areas and improve the quality of life of
individuals

The identified dropouts in the community members mapped are possible learners of
Alternative Learning System. The ALS Teachers assigned in the barangays enrolled the
identified learners which showed interest in ALS. As Of January 2024, the total LIS
enrollment is 161, 81 are male and 80 are female. For BLP, 3 are males, 1 female; for
elementary, 8 are females, 14 males; for secondary, 70 are females, and 65 males. The ALS

POSTING OF TARPAULIN
The ALS Teacher also showcased the graduates and completers to inspire the Out-of-School
Youth and Adults to continue their studies and enroll in Alternative Learning System
DISTRIBUTION OF FLYERS
The ALS Teacher used Flyers as one of the ways to disseminate the information regarding the conduct of
ALS mapping and enrollment.
COORDINATION WITH THE BLGU
The ALS Teacher coordinated with the Barangay local Government Unit to get the support of the
barangay captains and barangay council.
COORDINATION WITH THE PSDS & SCHOOL HEADS
