AP100G CAM Operation Guide I NCT
Creates a new sheet by specifying the process step conditions for sheet
(such as process method, machine, and material).
1. Click [File] and [New]
Operation
2. Specify the settings in the [Processing Setup Condition] dialog
box, and click [OK].
Settings in the [Processing Setup Condition] dialog box
! Program number
Displays a tentative name. When saving an NC program, enter any
name.
! Machine Type
Select a processing method. Four processing methods are supported:
punching, laser, combination machine, and compound process.

! Flat dimensions
Displays X and Y dimensions of an unfold drawing.
! Machine name

Displays the name of a specified machine. To select different machine, Load Part

click [List], and select a name from the list in the [Step Setup] dialog
box. Then, click [OK], and specify a tool name.
! Turret name
Displays the name of specified Turret. To select different name, click
[List], and then select a new name from the machine name list in the
[Step Setup] dialog box. If the laser is used for processing, however,
you cannot specify Turret names.
! Clamp position
Specify the clamp positions. Enter the distance (Inch) from its left
edge. A specified position displayed as yellow triangles on the dialog
box.
[Auto Setup]
Displayed only for Vipros L shear machines. When the button is
selected, the clamp position is automatically set so that the
material can be positioned uniformly.
! Material
Material name, material type and thickness. You can change material
or enter a new material.
To change material, select [Name] if its name is entered. Select [Code]
if a material code is also entered. To enter a new material, select
[Name].
- Name (name input mode)
To change material, click the right [List] button, and then select
a new material from the list. To enter a new material, enter its
material name (combination of uppercase letters and numeric
characters, hyphen, and period). Click [OK], and the [New
Material Name Registration] dialog box appear. Input
information of each item, and then click [OK].

Use Name to select a material name that already exists on the
material manager by pull down from the material type/ sheet

(You can only select the materials that are registered on the
material manager)
When the material type that does not exist is entered, click the
Process Setup [OK], and the [New Material Name Registration]
dialog box will appear. Input information of each item, and then
click [OK].
- Code
If you have sheet size set in Material manager, you can select
sheet from this option. Click [List] button for selection from the
list. The list for [Name] appears. You can, however, select a
material name by clicking [Browse]. You cannot change
dimensions.
! Laser Material Name
Displays a material name for the laser if you select [Laser],
[Combination Machine], or [Compound Process] for [Machine Type].
The name includes cutting conditions for the laser (such as processing
method, gas type, and gas pressure). To specify other cutting
conditions, select another material name for the laser from the list.
! The way to Load the Preference Setting
Select the condition setup file (.cjf) to be applied to the sheet. The
condition setup values for all sheets in the [Condition Setup] dialog
box are handled as a single file.
- Previous value
The condition setup file (cam_default.cjf) used previous to
process AP100G is applied.
- Value set when this program was saved
Can only be selected when the program data (PLS/NC) is called.
The condition setup file (condition setup when the program data
was created) supplied with the corresponding program data is
applied. Cannot be selected when the condition setup file

supplied with the corresponding program data is not available.
- Value set in the specified file
Specified condition setup values are applied. Click the right

[Browse] button and select the condition setup file from the Load Part

The material name specified in the [Processing Setup Condition]

Start AP100 Parts Processing and load unfold drawing data of the parts,
which is created with AP100 unfold drawing on a sheet.
There are two functions to load part.

This function allows saving part of drawing and tool path as macro. So it can be used
repeatable.

! Pattern
Select the type of macro to display in the macro list.
! Folder
Select the folder for macro to display. The selected folder is
displayed in the [Saving Target].
! [Delete]
Delete the macro selected from the list.
! [Search]
Search a macro. The [Search Condition] dialog box is displayed.
! [Print]
Print a list of macro data. If a list is switched to a list of graphics by
using [List of graphics >>], a list of graphic images will be printed.
! Keep Result
Save the search condition entered in the [Search Condition] dialog box.
The same search condition can be used for another search.

When the graphical data contained in the macro is selected from the
list, the graphic image will be displayed.
! Processing image
When the processing data contained in the macro is selected from the
list, tool path will be displayed.
! Macro
The macro name selected will be displayed.
You can load macro by typing in macro name then click [Load].
! Comment
The comment of the macro selected will be displayed.
You can load macro by typing in comments then click [Load].
! Saving Target
The folder of the macro selected will be displayed.

Select folder.
! MACRO Name
Input Macro name. “*” or “?” can be used.
If nothing is input, “*” will be used automatically.
! Comment

! Create Date
Search by date that Macro was created. “*” or “?” can be used.
If nothing is input, “*” will be used automatically.
! Update Date
Search by date that Macro was updated. “*” or “?” can be used.
If nothing is input, “*” will be used automatically.
! [Execute] Button
Execute search based on setting of Search Condition.
Result will be displayed on [Read Macro data] dialog box.
! [Clear Condition] Button
Clear all search condition.

Select the type of flip.
! Macro Rotating Angle
Enter the angle of macro.
Pattern type
There are five pattern types. Except for (single hit), when you click
the pattern, you can set each condition of pattern.
Settings for each pattern type are described below.

! Pitch
Enter the distance between reference points of the macro.
! Inclined angle
Enter the angle of the pattern.
! Number of macros
Enter the number of macros to place at a time.

Enter the radius of an arc that is formed by connecting reference
points of a macro.
! Starting Angle
Enter the angle for the first macro.
! Qty.
Enter the number of macros to place at one time.
! Hole angle vector
Select whether to adjust the macro orientation so that the orientation
against the center of the circle can be fixed.
(ARC)
! Radius
Enter the radius of an arc that is formed by connecting reference
points of a macro.

! Priority direction
When processing, select either the X-axis or Y-axis as a direction to
proceed the processing.
! X direction pitch, Y direction pitch
Enter the distances between reference points of a macro in X-axis
direction and Y-axis direction.
! X direction Qty. and in Y direction Qty
Enter the number of macros to place in the X-axis direction and in the
Y-axis direction.

Enter the tilt angle of the line between reference points of a macro to
place in the X-axis direction. 2

! Pattern
Select the type of macro to display in the macro list.
! Folder
Select the location to save the macro to display in the macro list. The
selected folder is displayed in the [Destination Folder].
! [Delete]
Delete the macro selected from the list.
! [Search]
Search a macro. The [Search Condition] dialog box is displayed.
! [Print]
Print the list of macro data. If the list is switched to the list of graphics
by using [List of graphics >>], the list of graphic images is printed.

When the graphical data is contained in the macro selected from the
list, the graphic image of the macro is displayed.
! Name of macro
Type the name to control the macro (cannot be omitted). Type the
name in the combination of any uppercase alphabetical character,
numeric character, and hyphen.
If the name of an existing macro is selected, the macro is overwritten.
! Comment
Type the comment (can be omitted). Any character can be typed.
! Destination folder
Type the name of the folder to save the macro (can be omitted). Any
character can be used. When a name different from the existing folders
is entered, a new folder is created. If you use folders, macros can be
grouped so that you can manage them easily, and can be searched
easier.
! Save
Save selected data with condition set.

! Convert to Line/Arc
Converts the tool path into a circle or an arc to generate a contour.
! Convert Pattern Outer Shape to Single Hit Hole
With no pattern used, generates lines and arcs like [Convert to Circle
or Arc]. With pattern used, generates entities as below.
If the tools are overlapping:
– Standard hole
Round tools with BHC (G26) / Square, Rectangle, Round,
Obround and Radius corner rectangle. (G28, G36, G37)
– Non-standard hole
Round tools with ARC (G29)
– Pattern hole
Other cases
– If tools are not overlapping:
Pattern hole
! Convert Pattern to the Hole as it is
With no pattern used, generates lines and arcs like [Convert to Circle
or Arc]. With patterns used, generates a patterned hole.
