Had an absolutely wonderful and authentic Japanese

experience here. My servers were so helpful and took
the time to explain everything. There were many
courses and it was such a fun experience. Highly
recommend for anyone that wants to experience a
traditional Japanese dinner. … More

The food was so good but the service was not great.
Due to being understaffed, the service was suuuper
slow, it was a full hour after we were seated when we
got our main dish. The environment was not pleasant,
it felt stuffy, there were no windows, but with quite a
few flies flying about. … More

Found this hidden gem and decided to have dinner

here for my birthday. Feels like you're in Japan when
ordering the sets. Everything was delicious, a lot of
food, everything was worth it. Sashimi was as fresh as
it could be. No complaints, … More

We came here with the family, with high hopes for a

good meal. However, the service was horrible. We had
to wait over an hour for the food to begin being
served. The orders were also mixed up. The overall
experience was terrible. … More

Travelling to Oahu expecting the best Japanese

cuisine in the US without breaking the bank. Expect
over $50 per person but their beef is phenomenal.
Great service and worth every penny you spend here.
(Their entrance is in the hotel lobby in case you cannot
find it.)

We came here after reading the positive reviews, but it

was a disappointment. I had the Take sushi set and it’s
nothing out of the ordinary (but their house-made tofu
that came with the set was good). We also ordered the
butterfish … More

The restaurant was a little warm but the food was

really wonderful. The set menus were amazing value
and some truly interesting and delicious food.
Reminded me of being in Japan.

Authentic traditional Japanese dining in Waikiki. The

food is very fresh and the atmosphere feels like
instantly being in Japan. Dining here usually takes
about 90 minutes or a couple hours so don't expect a
quick meal. The floor is barrier … More

Unique and authentic Japanese multi-course

experience. Warning: pictures here are from the larger,
more expensive imperial set dinner. Not pictured is the
large plate of tempura and dessert. It was an absurdly

This. Is. The. Real. Deal. If you’ve ever been to Japan

this is a classic spot. No rush, no frills, expect menus
translations and authentic melt in mouth sushi. You will
likely be the only one from the mainland/states. If
there’s a bad review, it’s because you are expecting
mayo over a volcano roll. Perfect pieces here only.

Our server was so sweet and gave us miso soup and

ice cream on the house! The main dishes were sooooo
good, one of the best meals I’ve ever had! We left
feeling very happy that we went to this restaurant
during our vacation due to the amazing service and
food :)

We ordered sukiyaki and butterfish full courses and

they were both very good. I like the sashimi that came
with the butterfish course the most. It is so fresh and
delicious.

This was my first time, it was so very good! I would

highly recommend this place for a romantic date night
while on vacation! It was so fresh and flavourful. The
butterfish was to die for! Truthfully the most amazing
fish.

Definitely not worth the price and time. The waiting

time during meal is too long, and the dishes were not
