BSME – 1

The video is about being Makadiyos and having faith in God and His plans. The
video consists of a short film and spoken poetry. It is portrayed at the beginning of the
video that the siblings were affected by wrong decisions in our life creating chaos in
their homes. I got easily immersed in the situation because that is what’s happening
around me. I can easily relate to the characters of the film and I understand that at
some point, we as humans get tempted by these wrongdoings. I am glad and happy
that in the end, they chose what is right and just because these bad things could easily
destroy our lives if we continue to expose ourselves to them. I have come up to a
realization that I, myself, or I should say, all of us must avoid people that may lead us
harm. Just like in the video, we should discern what is right and wrong as it could bring
change in our lives. All in all, from the first part of the video which is the short film, I am
amazed and satisfied by the flow of the video and the lessons conveyed by it.

The next part of the video is spoken poetry. At the beginning of the spoken
poetry, I could say that I was confused because the video is supposed to be being
Makadiyos but the first half of the spoken poetry is full of the world not being a good
place to live. It just leaves me hopeless because I thought that it will continue and will
end at that note. However, it turned out to be a reversed spoken poetry. The lesson and
the message conveyed by the first part of the poetry was given solutions and lessons
that gave me hope. That by God’s grace, we can do all things that we thought is
impossible. It had a big impact on me and I’m shocked because it left a huge realization
on my side. I realized that we really should just trust God on our life because namatay
at nabuhay nga Siya because of us. I realized that there is hope in God’s way.

To conclude, the two parts of the video is good. The first video left me being
amazed and satisfied then it taught me to trust God and stay away from evil things. The
second video is my favorite because I’m amazed at how the poetry was reversed and
brought more meaning to it. It left me the biggest impact between the two videos and
I’m happy that I learned something from it.
