The development of technology can play important role in a daily life of people.

Currently, it allow
people to be able to work, study and entertain easily and they use their computers at any given time.
However, most young children spend a lot of time on playing video games. In this essay, I will discuss
both the benefits and drawbacks of playing video games for children.

On the one hand, most the negative impact is the addiction to these games. For example, many
games nowadays are made with addictive design that will attract children and keep them glued to
computer screens. As a result, it takes a lot of time-consuming to children who spend their value
times in video games, waste of study time and perform poorly in schools, which will make them get
bad scores. Futhermore, another disadvantage is causing harm to sedentary lifestyle health such as
eyesight, obesity and cardiovascular.

On the other hand, modern video games have been enhanced the quality of games and have some
benefits. For instance, computer games like chess, puzzle or sudoku can be listed as brain capacity-
improving activities. Children who play above games are able to enhance thinking capacity, critical
thinking and sudden decision-making skills and it is really useful for their future life. Therefore, it is
also beneficial for children if being monitored by their parents to ensure children not to get the
opportunity to be addicted to computer games.

In conclusion, playing video games has both advantages and disadvantages for children. However, in
my opinion, it can be really harmful to children and become addiction if not being supervised by
parents.
