Text: Healthy habits
ge
rri
A habit is something we usually do. We can have good habits and bad habits. Good
habits usually help us to have good health. Bad habits usually give us bad health.
o
Keeping our bodies clean is a good habit. Dirty people usually have more illness and
tc

disease than clean people. Dirt often brings illness and disease. Dirt is full on small living
things called germs. They are too small to see with our eyes but we can see them through a
se

microscope.
Germs sometimes get into our bodies through our skin. People with dirty skin often
have sores. The germs have got inside the skin and made sore places on the skin. We must
e

always wash, keep our bodies clean. We must always wash our hands before meals. We
uv

must always keep our finger-nails clean. If our finger-nails are long, dirt can get under
them and stay there. We must always keep our teeth clean. Germs often make teeth
become rotten, then they become black and they ache. Toothache is very painful. Then the
re

rotten teeth fall out. We must clean our teeth every morning and every night. That is a
good habit; keeping on doing like that to be safe from some sicknesses.
