LIMITED TRAINING PROCEDURES
PROCEDURES

1.0 SCOPE
The scope of this training procedure is applicable for all the personnel of the
organization.

2.0 RESPONSIBILITY
H& S Rep is responsible for arranging the health and safety training programs for all the
employees in coordination with the section in charges.

3.0 PROCEDURES

3.1 The company provides periodic training to personnel on the health & safety related
issues in the organization.
3.2 facility conduct health & safety and fire safety orientation training for all new employees
3.3 All employees who have any contact with chemicals and hazardous materials been
trained on how to safely handle and dispose of specific chemicals and hazardous
materials and how to eliminate fire risk

Training includes

o maintain a safety committee comprised of workers and management, which holds

regular meetings and keeps minutes of proceedings
o committee discuss the findings from risk assessments and find solutions
o informed of the locations of fire alarm pull and button stations, fire extinguishers in
and near their work area, dangers of smoke inhalation, location of nearest exits and
assembly points
o all employees who have any contact with chemicals and hazardous materials been
trained on how to safely handle and dispose of specific chemicals and hazardous
materials and how to eliminate fire risk

o Safety and fire drills are conducted by trained personnel or outside agencies once in
two months.

o First aid and hygiene training is conducted by qualified persons or outside agencies.

o Necessary first aid boxes with medicines are provided in all the departments.

o Master health check ups are conducted by Medical Officer for all the employees
once in a year to detect occupational diseases. If detected, corrective actions are
initiated.

o Adequate firefighting equipment are provided as per the recommendation of the

fire insurance company.

PROCEDURES

o Access to and from the workplace is made safe without any risk of injury.
Evacuation Plan is devised by highlighting, emergency Exits points clearly.

o First aid boxes are provided and maintained in all the sections with the sufficient
stock of medicines.

o Adequate and clean toilets, separate for men and women and sanitary facilities are
provided for the use of all personnel and maintained properly.

o Suitable personal protective equipments are provided for the employees

depending upon their activities.

o Safety motor covers and needle guards are provided in the stitching machines to
prevent any accidents.

o Safety instructions are prepared in both English & Tamil and displayed in the
departments.

o Rest rooms are provided for both men and women.

o Sick room is provided for ill health persons.

o Potable drinking water is provided to all personnel.
