ACTIVITY 1
Interview a person who is 45–60-year-old. Be guided by the following questions:
1. What are the things that you remember in your environment when you
were my age?
- There were no electric fans and we always use mosquito nets when
we go to sleep. We never experience heavy rain; it would rain for 3
months straight but it would only be a light shower. There were not
much vehicles before, no tricycles, cars but instead there were
kuligligs and karisons as well as kalesas.

2. What are the things that you like doing when you were young?
- play cooking with my friends
- go to the fields to harvest rice and vegetables

3. What are the positive and negative changes in the environment?

Positive Change
- Faster transportation
Negative Change
- Climate change

4. Do you think environment plays a vital role in a person’s development?

Why or why not?
- Yes, for example, if a person grew up in a bad environment, it is
possible that they are going to be rebellious. However, if a person
grew up in a good environment, then that person will be a good
person.

ACTIVITY 2
After conducting the interview, write the summary of your findings where the
following questions are answered:
1. What have I learned from the person I interviewed?
- I learned that the environment that a person grew up in can influence
not just their development but also their personality and lifestyle.

2. How do I feel about the things that I learned?

- I feel curious and a bit surprised about the differences in their
environment compared to mine. It's interesting to hear about the
things they enjoyed and the changes they experienced.
3. Will this knowledge gained from the interview help me in understanding the
role of the environment in my development as a person?
- Yes, the knowledge gained from the interview helps me understand
that the environment can have a big impact on a person's
experiences and lifestyle. It makes me think about how the
environment shapes who we are.

4. What should I do with the environment?

- With this newfound understanding, I should appreciate the positive
changes in my environment, like faster transportation, and be aware
of negative changes, such as climate change. It also makes me think
about how I can contribute to creating a positive environment for
myself and others, maybe by being mindful of our impact on the
climate and supporting improvements in our community.
