ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
HIGHLIGHTS
The teachers practiced continuous learning. This is the reason why In-Service Trainings
were conducted. Balsik Elementary School is one of the schools that prioritize
development for teachers. Hence, Balsik ES held its INSET on January 24-30, 2024.
The last day of INSET started with an opening program. The singing of the Philippine
National Anthem was conducted by Mrs. Mary Ann D. Magtoto. This was followed by a
prayer through an audio-visual presentation, an energizer and a roll call. The School Head,
Mrs. Liezelle V. Torio, welcomed everyone in the said training through her opening
remarks.
Teachers were divided into two LAC groups. The first group were the teachers in grades
1, 2 and 3, while the second group were the kinder, grades 4, 5 and 6 teachers. The
resource speakers were Ma’am Angelita A. Garcia, Ma’am Mina J. Datu and Ma’am Portia
C. Tolentino for the AM session. They discussed “Beginning Reading”. The topics were
well discussed and gave us information on how to teach children the first step in reading.
All the participants participated and shared their experiences about the topics. We truly
learned a lot and understand the different strategy on how to implement the first step in
reading..
