I. TITLE:

II. RATIONALE

In the rapidly evolving landscape of education, the integration of 21st-


century skills and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has
become paramount to prepare learners for the challenges and opportunities
of the future. The term "21st-century skills" encompasses a set of abilities
that go beyond traditional academic knowledge, focusing on skills such as
critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and digital
literacy. As we navigate an era defined by technological advancements and a
globalized economy, empowering modern education involves equipping
learners with the competencies required to thrive in this dynamic
environment.

The integration of ICT in teaching has emerged as a transformative


force, reshaping the educational paradigm. ICT tools, ranging from
interactive whiteboards and educational software to online platforms and
virtual reality, offer innovative avenues to engage students and enhance
learning experiences. In this context, empowering modern education is not
just about adapting to technological changes but about leveraging these
tools to foster a holistic development of learners, preparing them for the
challenges and opportunities they will encounter in the 21st century.

Empowering modern education involves a comprehensive approach


that integrates 21st-century skills and ICT seamlessly into teaching
practices. This holistic transformation aims to produce future-ready learners

and mindset necessary to navigate an ever-changing world. As we embrace

This training primarily aims to:


1. Increase awareness among educators about the importance of
integrating 21st-century skills and ICT in modern education.
2. Understand the significance of adapting teaching methodologies to
meet the evolving needs of learners in the 21st century.
3. Provide teachers with a deep understanding of the skills necessary for
students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

prominent 21st-century skills:

and make informed decisions.
Importance: Critical thinking is crucial for problem-solving, decision-making,
and understanding complex issues in various contexts.
Creativity:

Definition: The ability to think innovatively, generate original ideas, and


approach challenges with a fresh and imaginative perspective.
Importance: Creativity is essential for innovation, adaptability, and finding
