A. TITLE
IN SERVICE TRAINING FOR TEACHERS
SY 2023-2024

B. OBJECTIVES

 Explain and provide an overview and rationale of the National Learning


Camp.Its general and specific guidelines on its implementation in order to
promote fun-filled activities at school level to address learning gaps.
 Provide a holistic approach to literacy education by enriching linguistic skills,
empowering reading capabilities, integrating Aeta culture into the learning
environment, and fostering overall proficiency development.
 Provide opportunities to enhance learners’ academic performance, particularly
the low reading proficiency level in reading based on the Phil -IRI results of the SY
2023-2024.
 Apply/utilize the modern use of technology in the teaching and learning process
through ICT
 Enhance the teachers on teaching strategies through innovative and creative
thinking skills. (HOTS-PLP)

II. NARRATIVE REPORT

A. ACCOMPLISHMENT
BACKGROUND/RATIONALE:
In the continuous pursuit of excellence in providing quality professional
development programs for teachers and school leaders, the National Educators
Academy of the Philippines (NEAP) hereby issues the following guidelines in the
conduct of the In-Service Training for Teachers (INSET) on 24-26 and 29-30
January 2024 as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 22, s. 2023 titled Implementing
Guidelines on the School Calendar and Activities for the School Year 2023-2024

This School -Based In- Service Trainings (INSETs) will evaluate the
school’s progress in the implementation of the educational programs, projects
and activities, review the performance of teachers to address concerns or issues
through cooperative effort, provide an opportunity for teachers to sit together,
review on some specific instructional concerns and discuss on what can solve
everyday problems in the classroom. This will also support the teachers for some
innovative practices that would enhance their skills and competencies for
continued professional development. Teachers will be equipped with the
necessary teaching strategies and techniques in developing the children literacy
numeracy skills and attitude.
Nabuclod Integrated School conducted the In -Service Trainings for teacher for school
year 2023-2024.
The first session was all about Orientation on the implementation of National Learning
Camp (NLC) which was discussed by Sir Allen R. Garcia. The NLC is a based on the
specific needs of the learners in which the shall be enrolled in on of the three camps:
Enhancement Camp, Consolidation Camp or Intervention Camp. National Learning
Camp is a strategic initiative supporting the National Learning Recovery Program.
Session 2 was discussed by Ms. Shara Mae T. Garcia which is all about Lecture
demonstration on the Intervention Camp of NLC in Mathematics, teachers’ play a vital role
in learning recovery in which through the discussion of Ms. Garcia she presented
different teaching strategies that will help teacher to facilitate learning for students who
needs remediation and enhancement.
Session 3: Lecture demonstration on the Consolidation and Enhancement Camp of NLC in
Mathematics was also discussed by Ms. Garcia which focused on consolidation and
enhancement Camp in NLC. The enhancement camp is designed to enrich learning for
advance learners by providing grater depth, breath and complexity of learning area
competencies. Consolidation camp on the other hand is designed to provide further
practice on application of previously taught competencies.
Session 4: Use of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS-PLP) in the lesson delivery was
discussed by Sir Napoleon V. Sundiam. Teachers can designed instructional activities that
require students to use problem solving skills, critical thinking, decision making and
evaluation to learn a subject more effectively.
