The padding elevation shall be inspected within tolerance of ±3 mm as per
approved ITP.
6.6.1 Pad plate shall be so arranged that the load of the equipment is uniformly and
exactly distributed to the foundation within allowable load. In general, the liners
shall be placed as near as possible to both side of each anchor bolt. Where
distance between the anchor bolts is too long, additional liners shall be set in
between them to prevent the base plate from bending.
6.6.2 Put the pad plate on the pad mortar (Non-shrink cement) and level pad plate by
tapping in the pad mortar by hammer.
6.6.3 If the sliding plate is required, elevation level at sliding side shall be reduced as
much as thickness of sliding plate from elevation level of fixed side.
6.6.4 Finish mortar by trowel and brush clean the pad plate.
6.6.5 Padding shall be fully cured before equipment is mounted onto it. Position and
Number Required
(2) All exposed portion of the pad is to be properly cured by means of water
applicant, wet hessian or curing membrane.
(3) During placement of the pad grout mix will be kept within the temperature
range of 5oC to 45oC .
(4) The temperature of the placed grout will be no less than 5 oC for a period of 3

(2) In general, the interval is more than 800 mm an additional liner shall be added
between the liners.
(3) Notwithstanding the general guidance as set out in Para. 6.6.6, (2), the load to
be support by pads shall be max. 30 kg/cm2. If the supported load is to exceed
30 kg/cm2, either the width or numbers of pad of both shall be increased. The
load to be supported shall be calculated in accordance with the equation shown
below.
