we’ve recently inaugurated two new outlets in Karachi’s prestigious
DHA area. This expansion brings our total tally of retail stations
to around 468 nationwide, further solidifying our commitment to
accessibility and convenience.

In today’s media-saturated environment, news of political
instability and economic crises in Pakistan often dominate the
headlines. Amid this maelstrom, it is easy to overlook the rays
of hope and resilience breaking through the chaos. A shining
example is Cnergyico, an oil company quietly expanding its retail
network in Pakistan.
Cnergyico’s strategic growth, despite the country’s perceived
negativity, exemplifies its firm belief in Pakistan’s long-term
potential for prosperity. Its petrol pumps, under the Byco brand,
are reimagining the traditional fuel stop experience, positioning
themselves as comprehensive destinations that cater to a variety
of customer needs.
Cnergyico, Pakistan’s leading petroleum company, has maintained
robust growth by extending its retail footprint. Building on the
success of its latest retail outlet in Karachi’s DHA Phase 8, the
company plans to launch another state-of-the-art Byco facility at
the coveted Sea View location in Karachi. These significant sites
represent Cnergyico’s unwavering conviction in Pakistan’s long-
term prospects and its commitment to delivering exceptional
services to its customers.
Gas stations worldwide, particularly in developed economies, are
undergoing significant transformations, aligning with business
evolution. This shift is not surprising considering we’ve witnessed
numerous technological advancements over time: VCRs gave
way to DVDs, DVDs were replaced by streaming services, and film
cameras yielded to digital ones, eventually overtaken by mobile
phone cameras. Likewise, home telephones have become virtually
obsolete. Petrol pumps, despite their long existence, are not
immune to change and must adapt to stay relevant.
This transformation involves petrol pumps evolving from mere
fuel stops to comprehensive service centers. Especially in the US
and Europe, these retail outlets are becoming convenience stores
that also sell fuel, rather than just being fuel dispensers. Offering

everything from made-to-order food to bakeries to ATMs, they now
provide various services, becoming a one-stop-shop for customers.
This shift underscores an increasing emphasis on customer service,
aiming to meet and exceed customer expectations. The result
of this customer-centric approach is greater customer loyalty,
improvement in brand image, and substantially higher sales.
Cnergyico’s Byco, a pioneer in the fuel retail industry, is welcoming
this shift. Its newly operational fuel station in DHA Phase 8 has
received high consumer satisfaction reviews due to its modern
approach to petrol pump development. In line with this concept,
Cnergyico plans to build a new retail outlet near Sea View,
conveniently located near a popular fast-food outlet. These
innovative locations aim to be more than just fuel providers; they
will be all-in-one convenience stores with restaurants, ATMs, and
various facilities to cater to consumer needs.
Cnergyico has recently added three new petrol pumps to
its growing Byco network. The Zayam Petroleum Service,
conveniently located on Sharah-e-Qaddafi in Karachi’s Orangi
Town, has quickly garnered recognition as one of the city’s
top retail outlets. The rising popularity of this outlet reinforces
Cnergyico’s position as a preferred choice for fuel needs in the
locality. The strategically located Qadeer-A Filling Station on
Memon Goth Road serves as an indispensable refueling station for
the surrounding regions, effectively addressing the energy needs
of the local community. Furthermore, the New Burraq Petroleum
Service, located 1.5 kilometers from Thatta City on the Sujawal-
Thatta Road, plays a critical role in meeting the fuel demands of
various neighboring towns.

W orld Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5th
to raise awareness and encourage global action towards
protecting our planet. Cnergyico is conscious of climate change and
has therefore decided to completely offset its carbon emissions
by planting trees in collaboration with private sector partners. A
visionary project utilizes the Miyawaki method of tree plantation to
rapidly grow trees over the next decade to sequester emissions,
and improve the environment. The company has planted thousands
of trees over the last several years at and around its refinery
and in Karachi as well. These plantation drives not only promote
biodiversity but also contribute to combating climate change by
sequestering carbon dioxide and improving air quality.
Cnergyico’s concern for the environment is not limited to what’s
on land but also extends to water. Since its operation also takes
place on the sea, the Company has enforced stringent policies
to ensure the protection of the marine environment. The
underwater pipeline has now become home to many diverse
species of marine life. The solid structure has provided a perfect
environment for the development of artificial coral reefs, which
has attracted several species of fish that feed on the corals,
developing a self-sustaining microclimate. The artificial coral
reef on Cnergyico’s sub-sea pipeline helps maintain a healthy
ecosystem and gives rise to marine biodiversity. The coral reef
formed around the facility provides shelter, breeding grounds,
and sustenance for a wide range of marine life. The presence
of coral colonies not only enhances biodiversity but also helps

Heat waves in Pakistan occur frequently and are characterized by
prolonged periods of excessively high temperatures. Climate
change has intensified frequency and intensity, posing a significant
threat to human health. Cities such as Karachi, Lahore, and Multan
are particularly vulnerable to extreme heat, with the hottest
months being May and June.
During heat waves, it is essential to recognize the signs of heat-related

C ooking fires are one of the leading causes of home fires,
making kitchen safety a top priority for every household.
By following these key safety guidelines, you can significantly
reduce the risk of accidents and keep your kitchen a safe and
enjoyable space.
1. Stay attentive when cooking: Whenever you are frying, grilling,
or broiling food, make it a habit to stay in the kitchen. If you need to
leave, even for a short time, remember to turn off the burner. Never
leave cooking unattended, especially when using high heat.
2. Check food regularly: Whether you are simmering, baking,
roasting, or boiling food, it’s important to check it frequently. Stay
in the house while it cooks and set a timer as a reminder. Regularly
monitoring your cooking helps prevent overcooking, burning, or
potential fire hazards.
3. Keep flammable materials away: Ensure all flammable materials,
such as oven mitts, dish towels, and paper products, are kept at a
safe distance away from your stovetop. A clutter-free cooking area
reduces the risk of accidental fires.
4. Maintain cleanliness: Regularly clean your stovetop, oven, and
burners to prevent grease buildup, which can ignite and cause a fire.
Clean up any spills immediately to avoid slips and falls.
5. Create a child-free zone: Establish a 3-foot (1-meter) child-free
zone around your cooking area. This helps prevent children from
accidentally coming into contact with hot surfaces, hot liquids, or

your safety should be the top priority. If the fire is small and
manageable, carefully slide a lid over the pan to smother the

event of a microwave fire, immediately turn it off, close the door, and
wait for the fire to extinguish completely before opening the door or

Everest - the world’s highest peak – but also become a symbol of
empowerment for women across the globe.

Naila Kayani’s journey toward women’s empowerment began in

the face of adversity. Hailing from a conservative background in
Pakistan, she faced numerous challenges and societal barriers
that hindered her personal and professional growth. However,
Naila refused to let these obstacles define her. Through her
unwavering determination and resilience, she overcame the
limitations imposed upon her, setting an example for countless
women who faced similar circumstances.
But Naila’s journey took an extraordinary turn when she decided
to pursue her passion for mountaineering. In a remarkable feat
of courage and determination, she became one of the first
Pakistani female mountaineers to scale the world’s highest
