available bone borders regular or irregular. Fracture or broken effect antemortem
or postmortem.

Sutures – whether fused/nearly fused/obliterated/approximated. Transluscency

Vertebrae – Male female characters findings, total number of vertebrae found. All
24 vertebrae present. Cervical – 07, thoracic – 12 and lumbar -5 present. Slight
flattening present in lumbar & lower thoracic vertebrae bodies.

Sternum - Body of sternum present. All body part fused. Male female characters
findings.

Clavicle – 02 present, one of each side, length - ………….. cm, both ends fused or
not. Male female characters findings.

Scapula – 02 present, one of each side, All centres fused. Male female characters
findings. Vertical diameter of glenoid cavity is --------- cm. Margin of glenoid
cavity is slightly sharpened. Base of spine shows triangle formation. Slight
translucency present in supraspinatous and infraspinatous area.

Pelvis – Male female characters findings. Both side hip bones and sacrum present.
Both iliac fossae slightly translucent. All centres fused or not. Pubic symphyseal
surface smoothened with slight prominence of margins & ends. Body of sacrum
fused or not. Slight flattening of upper body of sacrum present.

Long Bones – Total ……… long bones present. ……….. bone absent. All
available long bones’ centres fused.

Femur – 02 in number present, one of each side, 17 inches long.


Tibia - 02 in number present, one of each side, 14.8 inches long.
Fibula - 02 in number present, one of each side, 14.2 inches long.

Humerus - 02 in number present, one of each side, 12.4 inches long.


Radius – 01 in number present, 10.2 inches long.
Ulna - 02 in number present, one of each side, 11.1 inches long.

Few small bones of hand and feet also present.

All bones in general are stout, heavy or light and have prominent or less
prominent muscular markings. Typical male or female bones’ characters. The
respective bones of body are showing identical characters. Medullary canal of long
bones also is wide or narrow. Their cortex is thick or thin.

Preservation –
1. Right Clavicle bone preserved for DNA profiling.
2. Right Tibia bone preserved for Diatom test.
3. Available part of soft tissues preserved in saturated common salt
solution for chemical analysis.

Above mentioned articles preserved, sealed, labeled & handed over to P.C.
concerned along with their sample of seal.

Rest bones kept for boiling, cleaning, drying for further examination in the
department on 18.10.2022.
