Class - 5 Let’s Recall Unit plan

Unit - 1 Number of periods : 26

Introduction : In the previous class students learnt about 5- digit number, Number
concepts (reading – writing of numbers, face Value-place value of
numbers, expand – short form of Numbers, biggest – smallest
numbers etc.) & addition – subtraction of like fractions. In this
unit we will learn how to make the children to recall the concepts
of 5- digit Numbers, 4 fundamental operations (i.e, additions &
subtractions upto 4 – digit numbers, multiplication & division upto
3D×2D; 3D÷2D), word problems on daily life situations & addition
–subtraction of like fractions.

Academic standard wise learning out comes:

The students will be able to...
1. Problem solving :
 read and write numbers upto 5- digits.
 solve problems based on 4 fundamental operations.
 solve word problems in daily life.

2. Reasoning :
 classify numbers into big-small, write numbers in ascending and descending order.
 use > ,< ,= symbols between the given two numbers.
 understand expanded and shortened form of numbers.
 use place value concept in 4 fundamental operations.
 round off the given numbers to the nearest 10s / 100s / 1000s.

3. Communications :
 read and write number name.
 communicate face value & place value of each digit in given number.
 write all numbers using 2 / 3 / 4 digits.
