7. The adjusted date of the End of School Year shall be May 31, 2024, Friday.

• Year-End Deliberation of Awards

26. The School Awards Committee shall deliberate on awards and recognition not later than three (3)
calendar days before the End-of- School Year (EOSY) Rites.

• End of School Year Break.

28. The End of School Year Break shall be from June 1 to July 26, 2024, Friday.

• Quarterly Examination. Quarterly examinations shall be scheduled as follows:

Academic Quarter 3
March 26-26, 2024

Academic Quarter 4
May 16-17, 2024

• Start of 3rd Academic Quarter and 2nd Semester for SHS. The 3rd
Academic Quarter for Key Stages 1 to 3 and 2nd Semester for Key Stage 4
shall start on January 31, 2024.

• End-of-School Year (EOSY) Rites. The EOSY Rites shall be conducted from May
29 to 31, 2024. Schools may conduct the EOSY Rites on June 1, 2024, Saturday,
upon consultation with teachers and parents

• Centrally Managed Co-Curricular Activities. All Central Office- managed co-


curricular activities, i.e. Palarong Pambansa, National Schools Press Conference
(NSPC), National Festival of Talents (NFOT), and Learners’ Convergence, shall
be scheduled within the school year.

• National Learning Camp (NLC). The NLC shall continue to be implemented


following DO 14, s. 2023. However, due to the adjustment of the school calendar
for SY 2023-2024, activities in the Consolidation and Intervention Camps shall be
conducted in three (3) weeks instead of five (5) weeks during the SY 2023-2024
EOSY break from July 1 to 19, 2024. Services of teachers in the NLC shall be
voluntary

• Catch-up Fridays. As stipulated in DepEd Memorandum No. 001, s. 2024, all


Fridays shall be designated as Catch-up Fridays. It aims at developing the
learners’ reading skills and fostering values, health, and peace education
across all public and elementary and secondary schools.
