How has this assignment helped you engage in your chosen


outcome? Did you write about one of the goals in the outcomes, or
did you apply the skills talked about in each one?
- The assignment I have chosen to reflect on is my submission for the
fourth reading discussion. In this submission, I satisfied the
“Generating Inquiry” criteria by exploring the authors’ use of visual
rhetoric in the CDC’s COVID-19 posters. Additionally, I generated
lines of inquiry regarding the genre and purpose. Later on, I
examined one of my secondary source author’s use of rhetoric in
their research article.
2. What is something, whether it be a concept or a personal realization,
that you learned while engaging in this assignment? Or, if you didn't
learn anything, what did you find useful about this exercise?
- Something I realized while creating this assignment that I find helpful
is the understanding of visual rhetoric and how much of a difference
it really makes. As an author, you are also an artist when it comes to
the construction of how your articles should be laid out.
