LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FOR IFTEKHER AHMED KHAN

With great pleasure I write to you in support of the application of Mr Iftekher Ahmed
Khan into your M.Sc. program for the next coming academic year.

Iftekher Ahmed Khan was one of my peers in the undergraduate program in Mechanical
Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). During
our undergraduate studies I have worked closely with Iftekher Ahmed Khan in several
projects and workshops where he has demonstrated his critical thinking ability to address
complex engineering tasks. He showed high motivation and intellectual capability in
undergraduate academic affairs which is reflected in his excellent academic records. He
completed his undergraduate studies with CGPA of 3.42 out of 4.00.

As an undergraduate student, he has shown tremendous potential in research and

innovation which is evident in his thesis ‘Underground Temperature Measurement for
Ground Source Heat Pump Application’. This thesis investigated the refrigeration
capability of soil, and the novelty of this work was highly appreciated by the reviewing
committee that resulted in him achieving a 4.0 GPA in his thesis. Not confining himself
only to academic coursework, Iftekher has also participated in multiple engineering
trainings to gain hands-on experience. I personally had the opportunity to work in a group
with Iftekher to complete pneumatic module training course from FESTO Didactic, and I
observed him to have ingenuity to tackle real-world engineering problems.

In all, it is my firm understanding that Iftekher is a sincere, intelligent and self-motivated

individual. He is always eager to extend a helping hand to his colleagues which makes
him a trusted team member. His honesty, dedication to work and reputation of being a
great team-player is appreciated by all his peers.

In conclusion, being a close observant of his track record, I highly recommend Iftekher
for this academic program as I believe he can make notable contribution to your group by
