SPEECH CONTEST
THE RULES OF COMPETITION

Before the Competition

1. Participants are students from SMA/SMK who have registered as participants in the Speech
Contest competition..
2. Each competition participant consists of 1 (one) student.
3. Participants must complete administration (registration & payment no later than one week before
the technical meeting, on January 17 2024.
4. Topics that are the theme of the Speech Contest can be downloaded on the official website
https://bahangris.widyatama.ac.id/ and the official Instagram @englishfestival.utama
5. The topic presented does not contain elements of SARA and/or pornography.
6. The topic of the speech is presented in English.
7. Participants present speeches in video form with duration of 5-7 minutes.
8. Participants are required to wear school uniforms (and school jackets/blazers if there are any in
the video presentation.
9. Results (video) are sent via English Festival email in the format name_origin_school_type of
competition.

During the Competition

1. Participants will be invited by the committee via Zoom Meeting to the virtual room.

2. Participants must be present at least 15 minutes before re-registration closes to re-register. If not,
the participant is declared disqualified.
3. LO will guide participants to the virtual room to take part in the entire series of events.
4. The jury has the right to provide assessments in accordance with the assessment criteria set by the
committee.
5. The final results of the jury's assessment cannot be contested.
