I like the quotes above because i have a very high curiosity drive to learn about whats around me.
for example since getting my drivers licence becoming very familer with combustion motors and
car mechanics. I think these quotes speck directly to this but with a focus on science.

What are some ways which you have developed these skills in the past? Give a few specific
examples (can be from science or other fields of knowledge).

A lot of these skills I have developed threw car mechanics. I think you use the scientific prosses a lot
here. like wanting to know something running texts and then seeing what results come out.

Lesson 2: Human Body Systems

Work On It Our body systems are interconnected.

Using the chart provided in the lesson, write the function(s) of each system.

Body System Function(s)

Digestive System Take in food(ingestion), digest food into smaller molecules and
absorb nutrients, remove indigestible food from the body (feces)

Excretory or Urinary System removes waste products from cellular metabolism (urea,water,
CO2), filters blood

Respiratory System takes in oxygen and removes carbon dioxide and water

Circulatory System transport materials to and from cells

Lymphatic System stores and carries WBC's that fight disease, collects excess fluid
and returns it to blood (2nd circulatory system reaches places
other ones can't between cells)

Nervous System gathers and interprets information, responds to information,


helps maintain homeostasis

Endocrine System regulates body activities using hormone/slow response, long
lasting

Reproductive System allows organisms to reproduce which prevents their species from
going extinct

Choose any two of the 8 body systems from the previous page. Rewrite the functions and list the
Major Organs/parts in each system. Then describe how the systems are interconnected.

The circulatory system brings blood to the lungs where the respiratory system transforms it back

into oxygen that gets pumped through the heart and back into the circulatory system.

Lesson 3: Homeostasis

Get Started

What is homeostasis? Write your own definition below and list some examples of how our body
must adjust to maintain or return to homeostasis.

2. Draw or write one of the examples of a negative feedback loop outlined in the lesson.

differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells in the table below. Then fill in a function for

Lesson 5: Cell Organelle Cooperation

In point form, explain how the organelles listed are interrelated to complete a cell function.

1. Organelles work together to create protein. Organelles involved: nucleus, ribosomes,


nuclear membrane, rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER), Golgi apparatus, vesicles
