Tech aims to protect and secure lives and livelihoods, valuing the inherent worth of each individual.
The FloodGuard will be accessible within the community as it gives a loud alarm and an SMS alert
not limited to the community, but authorities may also receive the SMS alert. The Valorise Tech
employs a combination of technologies, including the RFduino programmed with C++, a GSM
module, and a loud alarm, to enhance the functionality of the FloodGuard.
Valorise Tech will be located at Brgy. Poblacion, Muntinlupa City. The “FloodGuard” will be
proposed to communities near bodies of water or places prone to floods. As Valorise Tech enters the
market, the proponents aim to introduce the product to areas prone to floods across various regions.
The proponents will receive supervision and guidance from their mentor as they prepare to take on the
responsibilities of running the business.
The management will commence operations by promoting FloodGuard through advertisements, social
media, direct sales to customers, marketing and awareness campaign and partnership with the local
government.
As an I.T. company, it prioritizes community security and the delivery of high-quality services. It will
also adhere to the guidelines and requirements set by the local government of Muntinlupa City. As the

II. History
For many years flood has been frequently occurring in different areas in the Philippines. It
has and is continuously affecting societies by bringing misfortune to the citizens by taking
thousands of lives and also disrupting their everyday way of living. Moreover, it always
brings damage to the environment which takes a huge toll on the economy. Nowadays,
some people are not aware enough of the risks that a flood could bring. They have little
knowledge about different levels of flood hazard that leads them to risking their safety.
And due to these risks, the proponents come up with an idea of making a flood alarm
gauge that can warn the people of the upcoming danger that a flood can cause.
III. Location
The main building of Valorise Tech will be located at Brgy. Poblacion, Muntinlupa City.
The owners will lease a building to serve as their main office.

emerging market trends, demonstrating their dedication to delivering exceptional service
and maintaining a strong focus on data security.

administrative and operational functions of the company. He will also manage the
personnel, resources and logistics.
Mr. Luis Juaquin Mascardo is in charge of promoting the product online, and also will
be the social media manager.
Ms. Ivangelica Michelle B. Villanueva will manage the company’s finances for the
upcoming projects.
I. FloodGuard
FloodGuard is a device that will alarm and indicate the dangerous levels of the flood that has
occurred inside the community. It has 3 levels that will signify the dangerous levels of flood.
If the water reaches a certain level on the alarm system, the device will inform the
surrounding vicinity by a high-pitched sound as well as the owner of the mobile device
through a text that is sent by the Flood Alarm Gauge.

The market needs for a Flood Alarm Gauge using Water Level Sensor Technology
primarily revolve around ensuring early flood warnings for the safety of lives and
property. This includes delivering accurate and reliable water level data to facilitate
informed decision-making for emergency services and government agencies.
Customization and adaptability features are essential, allowing users to tailor alerts
to their specific requirements while ensuring accessibility and ease of use. Additionally,
access to historical flood data for long-term planning and compliance with regulatory
standards are crucial. Integration with other systems, support for environmental
monitoring, and reducing the financial impact of flooding through early warnings also
play vital roles. Furthermore, community awareness and education are essential in
promoting flood risk awareness and safety measures.
IV. Competition
V. Barriers to Entry
Entering the market for a Flood Alarm Gauge using Water Level Sensor Technology in
the Philippines presents several barriers to entry. Regulatory compliance is a significant
challenge, as companies must navigate local regulations, obtain necessary permits, and
ensure adherence to safety standards. The competitive landscape can be intense, with
well-established government agencies, technology companies, and other players already
offering flood monitoring solutions. Developing a reliable and accurate technology
requires substantial investment in research and development, which can be a barrier for
new entrants. Moreover, building trust and credibility among potential customers and
stakeholders may take time, as reliability and data accuracy are paramount in flood
monitoring. Establishing partnerships with local authorities, emergency services, and
environmental organizations is essential but can be challenging without existing
networks. Additionally, securing funding and investment for market entry and growth can
be a barrier, especially for startups and smaller companies looking to compete in the
market.

Section 5: Strategy
I. Competitive Edge
• Localized Expertise: Having a deep understanding of the Philippines' unique
geographical and climatic conditions is essential. Developing solutions tailored to
the country's specific challenges, such as typhoons, monsoons, and diverse
topographies, can set a company apart.
• Affordability: Offering cost-effective flood monitoring solutions that cater to the
budget constraints of both residential and commercial customers can be a
significant advantage in a price-sensitive market.
• Reliability and Early Warning Capabilities: Prioritizing the accuracy and
reliability of flood data, along with the ability to provide timely and actionable
alerts, can be a crucial selling point. The ability to deliver early warnings to
protect lives and property during extreme weather events is a compelling
competitive edge.
• Strong Partnerships: Building strategic partnerships with local government
agencies, disaster management organizations, and environmental conservation
groups can enhance credibility, improve data-sharing capabilities, and facilitate
the adoption of the technology in emergency response efforts.
• Community Engagement: Active engagement in community awareness and
education programs can contribute to a loyal customer base while promoting
flood risk awareness and safety measures. This can strengthen the company's
reputation and brand loyalty.
• Local Support and Service: Offering reliable customer support and maintenance
services locally can build trust among customers. Timely responses to technical
issues and a local service network can set a business apart from competitors

Section 6: Operation
I. Personnel Plan
Figure 1: Organizational Flow Chart
Sales Representative - The sales representative focuses on marketing and selling the
FloodGuard to potential customers and partners. They play a key role in business
development and revenue generation.
Figure 2: Workflow
The workflow for this project proceeds in a logical order. Ideas are generated and
preliminary methods are established during the brainstorming and planning phases.
The design step then comes next, transforming these concepts into a concrete product with a
well-considered layout and user experience. Once the product is complete, attention is
directed to its marketing and sales, as well as developing an internet presence and connecting
with potential customers. In order to modify the product based on actual user feedback and
consumer insights, feedback is obtained after the product has been delivered to customers.
This process makes sure that each step improves on the one before it, finally resulting in a
product that has been well-conceived, created, marketed, and user validated.
III. Supplier
The "FloodGuard" project's supplier is crucial in helping to find the electrical parts and
sensors needed for the gauge to work precisely. This involves purchasing top-notch sensors
to track water levels. In order to satisfy production goals, they must also guarantee the
supply chain's availability and dependability. The success of the project depends on the
choice of trustworthy and reliable providers since it affects how well the gauge works at
issuing early flood warnings and safeguarding the protection of vulnerable people.
